Ross Taylor, 41, played 450 matches for New Zealand in international cricket. He scored 18,199 runs in Tests, ODIs and T20s. He was also a part of the New Zealand Test team which won the 2021 World Test Championship title.

The T20 World Cup Asia East Asia Pacific Regional qualifier will start its campaign in the final phase from the match against Oman on 8 October. Samoa is placed in Group C with Papua New Guinea and Oman. Samoa can make it to Super-6 by staying in the top-2 of this group.
