Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Delivered Brilliant Performance Against CSK: The third match of the Indian Premier League 2026 was played between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings last night i.e. on 30 March. In this match played at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, Rajasthan defeated CSK by 8 wickets. Rajasthan won the toss and invited CSK to bat first and this decision proved to be completely correct. In this match, CSK team was limited to just 127 runs. In reply, Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s explosive batting put CSK on the backfoot from the very first over, due to which Rajasthan easily won the match in just 12.1 overs.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi wreaked havoc

Vaibhav Suryavanshi did the work of making the small target of 128 runs given by Chennai Super Kings even smaller. Vaibhav scored a half-century in just 15 balls and was out after scoring 52 runs in 17 balls. He also hit 5 skyscraper sixes and 4 fours during his innings. After this inning of Vaibhav, there was not much left in the match and Yashasvi Jaiswal played an unbeaten inning of 38 runs and captain Ryan Parag played an unbeaten inning of 14 runs to lead the team to victory. Apart from this, Dhruv Jurel contributed 18 runs. Anshul Kamboj was the most successful bowler for CSK by taking 2 wickets.

Ravindra Jadeja made a great comeback

Both the teams, which were at the bottom in the points table in IPL 2025, had exchanged their star players Ravindra Jadeja and Sanju Samson before this season. Jadeja’s return to Rajasthan was successful as he took two wickets in his very first over, while Sanju Samson failed to make an impact on his debut for Chennai Super Kings. He returned to the pavilion after being bowled while trying to play a shot over mid-wicket on the ball of Nandre Berger.

Berger and Archer’s stormy bowling

Nandre Berger and Joffra Archer swung the ball brilliantly during the powerplay. While Berger dismissed Samson in his very first over, Archer sent captain Ruturaj Gaikwad to the pavilion. Gaikwad got bowled while trying to play a big shot on the off side. Then in his second over, Burger surprised Ayush Mhatre with a bouncer and the ball hit his glove and went into the hands of the wicketkeeper, after which Burger had a chance of a hat-trick, but Sarfaraz Khan avoided it by playing defensively.
