There has been a big change in the Sunrisers Hyderabad team during IPL 2026. 27-year-old all-rounder Shivam Mavi is out of the entire season due to injury. SRH has announced 18-year-old RS Ambris as his replacement. To join the Sunrisers Hyderabad team, Ambris will get an amount of Rs 75 lakh, which was his base price in the mini auction of IPL 2026. Who is RS Ambrish?

RS Ambris was born on 28 May 2007 in Chennai. Ambris is an all-rounder by profession, who bats with the left hand and bowls medium pace with the right hand. Ambris came into limelight some time ago for his strong performance in the Under-19 World Cup 2026. He was the highest wicket taker for India in the World Cup. He and Henil Patel took 11 wickets for India.

Praful Hinge and Saqib Hussain have already impressed everyone with their strong performances in the Sunrisers Hyderabad team. Now RS Ambris may also get a chance to leave a mark across the world. Ambris is also known for his swing in bowling.

Father was a cricketer

RS Ambris’s father’s name is R Sukumar, who himself has been a cricketer. Sukumar has been the captain of Tamil Nadu cricket team at Under-19 level. Sukumar currently gives cricket coaching in Chennai and has played a big role in teaching the tricks of cricket to his son.

RS Ambris has played for the Lyca Kovai Kings team in the Tamil Nadu Premier League. He also made his Ranji debut in October last year. He has played only 2 matches so far in his first-class career in which he has 43 runs and 2 wickets in his name.
