The leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have welcomed the statement of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind chief Maulana Mahmood Madni in which they supported the conversation on the Gyanvapi and Mathura Masjid disputes. BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain said that Madni’s statement has come late, but ‘late came, come, come late’. He said that Kashi, Mathura and Gyanvapi should be discussed openly.

Shahnawaz Hussain mentioned the statement of the RSS chief

According to news agency ANI, Shahnawaz Hussain reminded that RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has already said that there will be no movement on Kashi and Mathura, but a solution should be found. Earlier, BJP leader Ajay Alok said that the controversy would be good for the whole country, while RP Singh supported the dialogue, calling Mathura and Kashi the cultural heritage of India. At the same time, Nalin Kohli praised Madni’s statement in which he said that foreign intruders should not live in India.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has already made it clear that the Sangh had only officially supported the Ram temple movement, although Sangh workers can personally raise voice for Kashi and Mathura movements.

Congress raised questions

Congress leader Rajesh Thakur has objected to Madni’s statement. He said, “This matter belongs to the court and administration, not of the RSS. Do not understand why Maulana gave this statement and under what pressure.”

What did Maulana Mahmud Madani say?

Talking to news agency ANI, Maulana Mahmood Madni said, “Our organization had already passed the proposal that there should be dialogue. There are differences, but they have to be reduced. The way the RSS chief extended the hand of dialogue should be appreciated. We will support all efforts.”
