Rupali Ganguly has made her mark in every household with Star Plus’ TV serial ‘Anupama’. Recently, the actress has talked about her journey in the TV industry. Rupali, who charged Rs 3 lakh for an episode of ‘Anupama’, said that her dream was not to become an actress nor did she ever think that she would become such a big star.

Talking to IANS, Rupali Ganguly said- ‘This dream was not my own. I never thought of becoming a big actress or star. I just wanted to stand on the stage where they used to stand, which I liked. I did not know the hard work of the work that is behind it.

Rajan Shahi inspires
Rupali Ganguly further recalled a special moment with Rajan Shahi, the producer of ‘Anupama’, in which he told how he had full faith in him from the beginning. He said- ‘When I signed the contract of’ Anupama ‘, then Rajan ji told me that Rupali I want you to win every award. When someone trusts you like this, you are inspired to work hard.

How does Rupali balance home and work?
The ‘Anupama’ actress also talked about maintaining balance between both work and the house. She described her husband Ashwin as the biggest support. Rupali said- ‘I can focus on my work, because there is a relaxed in mind that my child is in safe hands. Ashwin is always present for children, which makes it easier to work.

Rupali Ganguly’s Workfront
Talking about the workfront, Rupali Ganguly is playing the lead role in Star Plus’s popular show ‘Anupama’ these days. The show is produced by Rajan Shahi and it is said to be a remake of the Bengali serial ‘Shrimayi’. In this show, now Adrija Roy and Shivam Khajuria are also seen as second generation characters. ‘Anupama’ started on 13 July 2020 and since then it is often on top of the show TRP list. Rupali has also been seen in a serial like ‘Sarabhai Verses Sarabhai’ before ‘Anupama’.
