In the footage, a sudden flash of bright light is seen as soon as the missile hits. After this a huge explosion is seen. It is being claimed that Russia has also fired hypersonic missile ‘Oreshnek’.

Russia has carried out one of the biggest air strikes of this war on Kiev in the morning. More than 50 missiles and 700 drones have been fired on the city. The video also shows a cruise missile hitting the center of Kiev. Here, on Sunday, May 24, Ukrainian officials have informed that 600 drones and 90 missiles have been fired in this attack. The air defense system has tried to stop this attack.

According to Euro Ground media, a business center near the Lukyanivska metro station and an adjacent market were completely destroyed in the attack. A small café was also included here. It was rebuilt and reopened six times after previous Russian attacks.

Four people were killed in this attack. Dozens were also injured. Houses, schools, markets and commercial buildings were damaged in the capital and other areas. The sounds of explosions continued to echo throughout the night in Kyiv. People ran towards safe places after the attack.

Zelensky claims- Russia used Oreshnik hypersonic ballistic missile

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said regarding this attack that Russia used Oreshnik, a powerful hypersonic ballistic missile. It is capable of moving ten times faster than the speed of sound. It has been designed to destroy underground bunkers located three, four or more floors below. Russia first used the Oreshvik missile with multiple warheads on the Ukrainian city of Dnipro in November 2024. According to AP News, it was used for the second time in January in the western Lviv area.

Here, Zelensky strongly condemned this attack and said that it targeted civilians and civilian infrastructure. These also include markets, schools and water facilities.
