About 200 soldiers took part in Druzhba 2025. From the Russian side, Special Operation Forces took part in the exercise, while the Pakistan Army was represented by its elite Special Forces unit. The Russian Embassy in Pakistan wrote on the social media platform X, “About 200 soldiers were involved in this exercise. From the Russian side, a special forces unit with experience in counter-terrorism participated.

So is Putin betraying India?

Relations between India and Russia have been good, but these days Pakistan has also come closer to Russia. However, it has been said many times by Russia that its relations with India are very deep. On the other hand, despite pressure from America, India maintained friendship with Russia and did not stop buying oil from it. He did not even condemn Russia during Ukraine. However, now the military exercises of Russia and Pakistan have definitely raised questions about its relations with India.

Let us tell you that exercises have been going on between Russia and Pakistan since 2016. It was named Druzhba (Friendship) joint exercise.

According to a business recorder report, Pakistani and Russian Navy successfully organized bilateral naval exercises Arabian monsoon-VI in the North Arabian Sea. This exercise strengthened the commitment of both countries towards marine security and regional stability. The exercise included several warships and other military properties of both the navies, including a Destroyer of the Pakistani Navy, an offshore petrol vessel, a fast attack craft (missile), a sea patrol aircraft and an unmanned air -aircraft (UAV).

Pakistan’s Air Force also took part

Pakistani Air Force (PAF) fighters also participated in various operating activities in this exercise. Multi-terminal maritime maneuvers were performed during the practice, promoting inter-operations and developing strategies to deal with marine security threats. Prior to the maritime phase of the practice, Russian Navy ships reached Karachi, where several meetings were held. These included cross-ship visit, harbor drill and tabletop discussions.

Apart from this, Russian Navy officials met senior officials of Pakistan Navy and paid floral tributes to the Mazar-e-Main and paid tribute to the founder of Pakistan.
