Congress MP from Saharanpur, Imran Masood, criticized the action being taken by the police after the violence in Bareilly last month and said on Sunday that the government is behaving separately from those who broke the tomb in Fatehpur and the accused of violence in Bareilly.

He said, ‘This shows that two types of laws are going on in the country.’ In a conversation with ‘PTI-Bhasha’, Masood claimed that the police in Bareilly on Friday (September 26), in the case of violence that took place on Friday (26 September), is also sending the innocent Muslims to jail by implicating them in false cases, showing action that two types of laws are going on in the country.

Questions raised on police attitude

He argued and said, ‘When in Fatehpur, when it is vandalized by entering the tomb, standing on the graves, they are disarmed, then there is no action. Neither the police stick, nor the hands and feet are broken, nor the bullet is fired.

The Congress MP told that, ‘During the Kandar Yatra, dhabas falling on the way are broken, they are set on fire, they are looted, passers -by are beaten up and made fun of law. So there is no action, but is pacified by understanding, but if someone stands with the poster of ‘I Love Mohammed’, then you (police) will also break their hands and feet, will also shoot on your feet. So the truth is that different types of laws are applicable for two different classes.

Imran Masood further said, ‘This kind of condition that is going on in Uttar Pradesh is not right. The Bharatiya Janata Party has destroyed democracy. There is so much hatred among themselves that it becomes difficult to live in the country. Aman and peace are completely over. If the atmosphere is bad then the common man of the country will be crushed.

The MP, recently ransacked in a hotel by Kanwari in Muzaffarnagar, said, ‘You see that no action was taken in Muzaffarnagar. Who was shot there, who was arrested, whose hands and feet were broken?

There, a woman had built a hotel by putting the capital of the whole life, destroyed the entire hotel. There was a waning of hooliganism, so what action was taken? The police kept watching the spectacle. The case was abolished by filing a report against unknown people. There are videos of such incidents, everything is visible. Despite this, no action was taken.

What did MPs say on ‘I Love Mohammed’ controversy?

Referring to the ‘I Love Mohammed’ campaign, Masood said that he does not consider the performance of the poster to be right. He said that no poster is needed to show love for Mohammad Saheb. Being a Muslim in itself is a guarantee that he has love for Prophet Mohammed in his heart.

The army is engaged in handling the situation in Nepal. Important information has also been shared along with Warning on behalf of the Public Relations and Information Directorate of the Military base at the capital Kathmandu. The curfew will remain in force till 6 am tomorrow. The army has said that the common countrymen are informed that further information will be given on the basis of analysis of the situation.

It has been said on behalf of the Nepali army that the army expresses gratitude to all the people of the country for cooperation in maintaining the responsibility of maintaining peace and security in the country. Expressing deep grief over the loss of property during the movement, everyone is requested to cooperate in efforts to control criminal activities.

Permission only emergency vehicles during curfew
The statement said that in the name of the movement, various chaotic persons and groups are still infiltrating and damaging private and public property. These arson, looting, targeting people are attempting violent attacks, rape. Strict action will be taken against such people. Emergency vehicles (ambulances, corpse vehicles, firefighters, paramedics and security vehicles) will be allowed to operate during prohibition and curfew. All concerned parties are requested to coordinate with nearby security personnel for necessary facilities.

Strict action will be taken on miscreants
It has been said by the Nepal Army that coordination is being established between the concerned parties to resolve the situation and the problem after the protest and the attack on any kind of demonstrations, sabotage, looting, arson, individuals and property will be considered a punishable offense by security personnel. The statement further stated that the Nepali army is confident that it will continue to discharge its obligation to maintain national unity and social harmony. It is a humble request that all Nepalis should cooperate with the security personnel for the safety and humanitarian aid.
