Vinod Khanna was born on 6 October 1946 in a Punjabi family in Peshawar (now Pakistan). At the time of partition, the family later settled in India and settled in Mumbai. He was interested in acting since childhood. After completing his studies, he decided to make acting his career. Luck changed with ‘Man Ka Meet’
In the year 1968, Vinod Khanna got the first major success when he got the role of villain in the film ‘Man Ka Meet’. At that time it was not easy to play a villain or negative role in Hindi films, but Vinod made it his strength. After this, he played the role of Villain in many films and made his own place in the hearts of the audience. But it was also written to become a hero in his destiny. Gradually Vinod Khanna started getting the role of hero in films.

In the 1971 film ‘Mere Apne’, he was seen in the lead role for the first time, which increased his popularity. The film was so liked among the audience that Vinod Khanna confirmed his name as a hero.

This was followed by many of his hit films, such as ‘Mera Village Mera Desh’, ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’, ‘Qurbani’, and ‘Dayawan’. These films proved that he is not only a villain, but also a great hero.
