The attacker started housekeeping work in July

Pandey said that his agency also works to keep people coming to work in hotels in different places according to their needs. In July 2024, a person came to us and asked for housekeeping from the acquaintance Vishal (not knowing the full name) working in our agency. He called his name Vijay Das.

The attacker did not submit documents in the company

At that time, I asked him for Aadhaar card and other documents, then he said that he will give later. About two days later, I hired her as a housekeeper in a pub in Worli Koliwada, Mumbai and arranged to live in Worli Koliwada, to live with others working in our agency. Vijay worked in the pub for four months.

In November 2024, our agency was given a contract for housekeeping work at a hotel in Hiranandani Estate in Thane West, Thane. At that time, I sent Vijay to work there and arranged for his stay in the nearby labor camp. Vijay Das worked at that place till December 15, 2024. On December 15, 2024, our contract was completed and then Vijay again came to live in Worli Koliwada. After going to Worli Koliwada, I hired Vijay in our agency in Prabhadevi, Mumbai. He worked at that place for ten days.

Vijay worked at that place till 5 January, 2025. After that I sent him to work in a hotel in Bandra West, Mumbai from 9 January 2025. Vijay used to work at the said place from 5:00 pm to 1:00 pm and used to go to his room in Worli Koliwada to sleep.

We had not gone to work for several days

Vijay worked in Bandra till 13 January 2025. After that I came to know that Vijay did not come to work for two-three days. At that time I tried to call him again and again. But Vijay’s phone was coming off. Then at around 11:00 pm on January 16, I got a call from an unknown mobile number (I cannot tell which number is there because there is a lot of calls in my phone) he told me that Vijay Das is speaking, why did I not come to work for two days. When he was asked about this, he told me that while coming to work, I had a fight with a person in the train in Mahim.

The attacker took thousand rupees from the owner

Vijay told me that the person was a policeman, so he took me to the police station and closed me. At the time when I asked him in which police station he was locked, he did not tell. At around 07:30 in the day, Vijay called me from the phone of a person named Rohit Yadav, who lives in our agency Worli Koliwada and said that he needed money, he asked me to send money on Rohit’s phone. At that time I sent 1000 rupees to Vijay on Rohit’s phone number.

The attacker was working by hiding identity

The owner of the attacker told that, on the night of 18 January, when I was watching TV at home, I saw the news about the attack on actor Saif Ali Khan, and a photo of a person was seen in it, who attacked Saif Ali Khan. Seeing the face of that suspect and the shirt he wore, I realized that he was Vijay Das, who works in our agency.

Then the next morning I decided to inform the police about the case. But the next day I heard on TV that he got caught. “He said,” In this context, when the police called me and questioned me, I came to know that Vijay Das’s real name is Mohammad Shariful Sajjad Rohul Amin Fakir and he is a citizen of Bangladesh.
