In an interview given to Dainik Jagran, Saif Ali Khan said, ‘For the first time in the film Main Khiladi Tu Anari, I wore the uniform of a police officer. Akshay Kumar was in my opposite role. This film was a copy of the Hollywood film ‘The Hard Way’, which had no copy rights. However, the film did not do good collection at the box office.

After this, the director of the film gave me an advice that ‘You should only do romantic roles. The role of police does not suit you. This role looks good only on big actors.

Talking about the work front, his film ‘Kartavya’ has been released today i.e. on 15th May, in which Saif has played the role of an honest police officer. This web series has been produced by Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and its director is Pulkit. Rasika Duggal, Zakir Hussain, Sanjay Chaudhary, Saurabh Dwivedi and Manish Chaudhary are seen with Saif in the film. Earlier, he appeared in the Netflix film ‘Jewel Thief: The Red Sun Chapter’, which was released in 2025.
