Uddhav Thackeray faction has targeted BJP regarding the ongoing political turmoil in West Bengal. It has also been alleged that Maharashtra’s ‘washing machine model’ has been implemented in West Bengal also.

Shiv Sena (UBT) through an editorial in its mouthpiece ‘Saamana’ alleged that constitutional institutions like the Speaker of the Assembly, the Election Commission and even the judiciary are being used to facilitate political defection.

‘The pattern changes the same character’

The editorial said, “Maharashtra-like situation is also being seen in West Bengal, where after the recent assembly elections, a large section of Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLAs have joined the BJP. It alleged that this is the same political pattern, only the characters have changed.”

‘Maharashtra washing machine model being implemented in Bengal’

The editorial further said, “Maharashtra’s washing machine model has now been implemented in West Bengal too, where corrupt TMC leaders are being inducted into it. During the election campaign, BJP leaders had described the TMC government as corrupt and supportive of illegal immigrants, but after the elections, the same leaders are joining the BJP.”

‘Threat to break TMC leaders’

The Uddhav Thackeray faction said, “Threats, money and investigative agencies are being used to break TMC leaders. The editorial also said that BJP’s politics is only focused on gaining power and the investigation against corruption accused slows down as soon as they join BJP.”

‘There will be an opportunity for honest leadership’

The party said that with opportunistic leaders leaving the party, the country will get an opportunity for a new and honest leadership. In the end it was said that the country will once again move forward with a new sense of self-respect and patriotism.
