It is a rainy season, cold winter evening, office fatigue or fun with friends and party, samosa is our hunger -erase favorite snack on every occasion which everyone likes. When a crispy samosa comes out with hot tea, a different joy is felt. But do you know where did this our beloved samosa come from? And were potatoes filled in it from the beginning? Most of us believe that Samosa is a traditional Indian snack, but Samosa is not a traditional snack of India. So let us know which country Samosa came to India and what was filled before potato in it.

From which country did Samosa come to India?

Samosa actually came to India from Iran and Middle East i.e. Middle East countries. There it was called Sambusak or Sambusaj. This name became a samosa in India over time. The oldest mention of Samosa is mentioned by the 11th century famous Iranian historian Abul Fazal Behaki in his book Date-e-Bahki. He wrote that a salty dish was introduced in the royal court of the Ghaznavi Empire, in which mince (meat) and dry fruits were filled. The samosa was then not fried, but was baked on the fire. Its test was royal and it was made for special people.

What was filled before potato in samosas?

Between the 13th and 14th centuries, when traders from Central Asia and Muslim ruler came to India, Samosa had also stepped into India. Writers like Amir Khusro and Ibn Batuta have also mentioned samosas in their articles. Ibn Batuta told that Samosa was a famous snack in the court of Mohammed bin Tughlaq. Gradually, this dish spread to different parts of India, and people started making changes in it in their own way.

Actually, potato was not from India, Portuguese brought it to India in the 16th century. Earlier, meat, nuts or vegetables were filled in samosas. When potatoes became popular in India, people started filling spicy potatoes and peas instead of meat in samosas. This new Indian samosa was very much liked among the common people. And today the samosa with potato has become the most common and famous version.

Also read: Bakrid and sweet Eid must have been heard, but today the third Eid, know why celebrate it?

Samosa, which we eat with tea, has now become the biggest reason for the controversy. In fact, on not bringing samosa in Pilibhit district of UP, the son -in -law was such that the matter went directly to the police station via the panchayat. The video of Samosa war has gone viral, after which people on social media are calling it the most dangerous snack ever.

Quarrel started with samosas, reached up to assault

Shivam, who lives in Bhagwantapur village of Pilibhit, was married to Sangeeta in May. Everything was going well, but one evening the wife asked her husband hot samosas. Shivam said that there was no money and did not bring Samosa. This small thing became a big quarrel between the two. After this, the wife angrily called her maternal grandfather and then the son -in -law and her family were beaten fiercely with the belt and kick punches. When the matter increased, the people of the village called a panchayat, the dispute did not calm there. In the panchayat too, both sides clashed again and many people were seriously injured.

Viral video increased internet mercury

The video of the quarrel went viral on social media. In this, both families can be seen attacking each other. This video remains the biggest issue of discussion in villages. People are giving various reactions to this samosa war.

After the video went viral, users were also seen doing various comments on social media. A user wrote about this samosa dispute, Samosa is Most Important, the matter can go to the fight. At the same time, another user writes that according to this samosa is also a ruckus. A user jokingly writes, it looks like a wife is a very strong samosa lover. At the same time, another user writes tightly, nowadays the value of the son -in -law has reduced than Samosa, how are the in -laws. Another user writes that such son -in -law can not bring samosa. Apart from this, some users are linking this fight with the demand of Ravi Kishan in the MP in which he demanded to reduce the price of samosa. Many people were injured in this dispute over samosas. At the same time, when the matter reached the police, the police lodged a complaint of both the parties and started investigation. At present, there is a discussion in the village that Samosa, once considered the pride of love, has now become the cause of the war of home.

As a breakfast in India, even today, a large population likes Jalebi and Samosa. Especially in North India, samosas and jalebi shops will be found in every street. His fondness never cares about how much oil there is in samosas or how much sugar in Jalebi. Taste is more important for them than their health.

But now the government has issued a new decree. It says that people should get information about how beneficial they are eating and how harmful it is for their body. The Ministry of Health has issued instructions that warnings should be written about these snacks. Know where you will get this warning about samosas and jalebi.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tydyQckk6fg

Will all shops be warned by warnings?

If you are thinking that every shop selling samosas or jalebi will now be written. So this is not going to happen. This rule is not applicable to common market or confectionery. In fact, the Health Ministry has directed that this warning boards will be installed only in the canteen of central ministries, government departments and Central Institute.

Also read: How can tenants be installed solar panel of PM Surya Ghar Yojana, these things are necessary

On which snacks like samosa, dumplings, laddus or jalebi contain so much sugar and how much oil. Information will be given. For example, it will be written on a board that a Gulab Jamun contains about five teaspoons of sugar. The aim is that people themselves know how much loss they are taking in their plate. It can also be called a mild version of cigarette -like warning.

Why is this decision taken?

This question is also coming in the minds of many people about this decision of the government, why did the government need to give such instructions. Let us tell you that obesity diabetes and heart diseases are increasing very fast in India. Seeing this, the government is now considering junk food as a serious threat. According to the Ministry of Health, by 2050, about 45 crore people in the country can face the problem of obesity or overweight.

Also read: What month ends validy of Ayushman card, how long you can get treatment again

The biggest reason for this is poor catering and less physical hard work. In view of this danger, the government has decided to give cigarette warnings on food items like Samosa, Jalebi, Vada Pav. The aim of this is that people can understand how much it is doing while eating snacks. Just as cigarette packet is written ‘Smoking is harmful to health’, some of the same way with junk food will now be shown on the poster or board.

Samosa-Jalebi and laddus are now in alert mode. Actually, now every item of food and drink will have a warning slip, on which information about sugar and oil present in that item will be given. Actually, the Health Ministry has given important instructions to all central institutions across the country. It says that they should apply oil and sugar boards on the food items, so that you can get the correct information about the fat and sugar hidden in breakfast.

Why was this decision taken?

According to the information, the Health Ministry has prepared an internal report. It has been revealed that by the year 2050, 44.9 crore people in the country will suffer from obesity or more weight problem. In such a situation, India will become another country after America, which is struggling with the problem of obesity. Talking about the current situation, one out of every five people in India are struggling with the problem of overweight. In such a situation, it has been decided to take this step to make people aware of junk food, which has been implemented in government institutions initially. These boards of oil and sugar on food items will give warning to people how unhealthy food they are eating.

How many people in India are obese?

According to the 2024 report of the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 60 % of people in India are affected by obesity or overweight. At the same time, diabetes cases can cross the 10 crore mark by 2030. This is the reason that the Health Ministry has prepared a new policy with the Food and Drug Administration (FSSAI), under which it has been made mandatory to labeled a warning on the packaging of these food items.

Laddus-jalebi and samosa are as dangerous as cigarettes?

Officials of AIIMS Nagpur have said that the order has been received in this regard from the Health Ministry. After this, warning boards will be installed on cafeteria and published places. Apart from this, not only samosa-jalebi and laddus will remain in the scope of investigation, but Vada Pav and Pakoras will also be added to this list. At the same time, Dr. Amar Amla, Chief of Nagpur Branch of Cardiological Society of India cleared things on this issue. He said that sugar and trans fat are new -age cigarettes and tobacco. Due to sugar and oil, these food items are proving to be as dangerous as smoking and Tobacco. Now the food items which will be harmful, the more dangerous labeling will be done on it. People should know what they are eating.

America- When we hear this name, then the picture of big buildings, gleaming roads, luxury life emerges in front of us, but everything is not so. America is the most immersed country in the world, but it is one of the most expensive countries in the world, due to inflation, it is not easy to know the luxury life for the most.

From food to stay, you have to pay a large amount for a house, if you give that much in India, then you can live a great life. Let us tell you today the price of samosas in India and America, so that you will know how expensive America is.

Samosas price in American

The Taste of India Brookfield, which sells samosa and the rest of Indian food items in the US, is priced at US $ 5.95. If we look at it by converting it to Indian rupees, then it will be 509.10 Indian rupees. At the same time, in the US, another restaurant Masalabites Indian Restaurant is priced at US $ 6.99 i.e. 598.09 Indian rupees, if you have to eat 2 samosas from here, then you have to pay 13.98 US dollars i.e. 1,196.17 Indian rupees. Somewhere this price can be slightly higher or less. If it is called in simple language, then for two samosas in America, you will have to spend about 500 to 1,150 Indian rupees.

In India, you can have a party for so much money

You will get samosa up to 50 rupees in expensive hotels in India, otherwise you get 2 samosa in good hotels for an average of 25 to 30 rupees.
If you are buying from shops, then you get 2 samosas for 15 to 20 rupees. Which is much cheaper than America. The more you eat two samosas in America, the more you can party with two or four friends in India. In America, not only samosa, but most of the food and drink are also so expensive.
