Trishala said about her mother’s illness, ‘My mother was diagnosed with brain cancer in 1989. By the time the disease came to light, the cancer had reached a dangerous stage. The mother was undergoing treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Grandmother Nargis Dutt was also treated in the same hospital. At that time father was traveling a lot in America and India. On one side there was shooting and on the other side the mother was undergoing treatment. All this was not easy for him.

Apart from this, Trishala told that during the time of her mother’s illness, she started using food as her support. That’s why his weight increased.
