In this case, Delhi High Court has reserved its order after hearing the arguments of all the parties. Sanjay Kapoor’s two children from Karisma Kapoor, Samaira Kapoor and Kiyan Raj Kapoor, have approached the court.

Allegation filed in Delhi High Court regarding Sanjay Kapoor’s will

Karisma Kapoor’s children allege that the will presented by his wife Priya Sachdev Kapoor after Sanjay’s death could be fake and fabricated. It has been said in the petition that even the signature on the will does not appear to be Sanjay’s. The children have demanded their rights in the property. The lawyer appearing on behalf of Priya Kapoor in Delhi High Court said that it is wrong to say that Sanjay’s annual income is Rs 60 crore. On the questions raised regarding an allegedly expensive watch Rolex, he said that the picture being cited was taken from a fake social media account. Senior advocate Mahesh Jethmalani, appearing for the children, said that there are many serious flaws in the will and doubts arise. He demanded from the court that Priya Kapoor should be stopped from selling or using the property till the final decision.

Rani says in Delhi High Court that she was never told anything about Sanjay’s will. According to him, his name is not even there in the will whereas Sanjay always said that he got everything from his mother. Rani’s lawyer argues that if Sanjay was making a will, he would have at least written that he did not want to give anything to his mother. This argument was given before Justice Jyoti Singh who is also hearing the case filed by the children of Karisma Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor. Karishma’s children are challenging their father’s alleged will and want Priya to prevent them from evicting them from the property.

Priya is controlling the property

Rani Kapoor has said that it is difficult to believe that Sanjay would give his entire personal property only to Priya, whereas he had a deep affection for his mother, children and the Kapoor family. During the hearing, senior lawyer Vaibhav Gaggar alleged that after Sanjay’s death, Priya tried to take complete control over his property and hid many valuable properties in the list presented in the court. This is said to include artefacts, bank balance, mutual funds, insurance, rental income and expensive watches. The court has fixed the next hearing of the case on December 3. Delhi High Court has issued a notice to late businessman Sanjay Kapoor’s second wife Priya Kapoor in the will dispute. Karisma Kapoor’s two children Samaira Kapoor and her brother have demanded investigation of the original document of their father’s alleged will.

In the same case, the children have filed another application demanding to stop Priya Kapoor from separating or selling them from Sanjay Kapoor’s properties.

Delhi High Court has sought response from late Sanjay Kapoor’s wife Priya Kapoor on the petition of actress Karisma Kapoor’s children in which they have requested for inspection of the original copy of their father’s alleged will.

Joint Registrar (Judicial) Gagandeep Jindal issued notice to Priya Kapoor and alleged will executor Shraddha Suri Marwah on the petition and asked them to file their reply within three weeks. Now the hearing of the case has been listed for December 16.

Priya Sachdev accused of forging signature
The application was filed in a suit filed by Karisma Kapoor’s children – Samaira Kapoor and her brother – challenging the alleged will of their late father Sanjay Kapoor’s estate.

The value of the assets in question is reportedly Rs 30,000 crore. According to the plaintiffs, the alleged will is fake and fabricated, and the signatures on it are not those of their father, but have been allegedly forged by Priya Kapoor in connivance with the attesting witnesses.

What arguments did Priya Sachdev’s lawyer give?
On the other hand, Priya Kapoor’s lawyer claimed that this application has been filed after he termed the plaintiff’s claims as ‘bogus and baseless’. Priya Kapoor’s lawyer had said in an earlier hearing, ‘The will cannot be called fake due to spelling errors, and he has also not questioned Sanjay Kapoor’s signature.’ The counsel claimed that after this argument was raised, the plaintiff has now filed a fresh application questioning the authenticity of the signature.

Attempt to alienate property
In the application, Karisma Kapoor’s children have sought inspection of the original copy of their late father’s alleged will, which Marwah had filed in a sealed cover on September 25, along with supporting affidavits.

The court is also hearing an interim injunction petition filed by Karisma Kapoor’s children, seeking to restrain Priya Kapoor from alienating them from Sanjay Kapoor’s property. The hearing on this petition will continue on November 20.

Mahesh Jethmalani, lawyer of actress Karisma Kapoor in Delhi High Court, said that this will is allegedly dated March 21, 2025 but changes were made in it several times before and after that. Investigation revealed that the will file was created from the computer of a person named Nitin Sharma while at that time Sanjay Kapoor was on leave with his son. He raised the question as to why a person would prepare his will on someone else’s computer. He said that there are contradictions between WhatsApp chats and documents too. The file of the will was changed several times, the certificate is incomplete and no lawyer was involved.

While hearing the case, Delhi High Court asked whether Sanjay Kapoor had made any will before. On this the children’s lawyer said that he had no information about this. Now the next hearing of this case will be on Tuesday.

Karisma Kapoor’s lawyer demands from the court

During the hearing of the case in Delhi High Court, lawyer Mahesh Jethmalani requested the court to immediately order the States if any third party has rights over the properties. While arguing in the court, it was also told that Karisma Kapoor was informed about the will for the first time in July 2022 and that too through witnesses and not through any legal information.
