Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s party JDU gained a lot in Bihar Assembly elections (2025). The party directly reached 85 seats from 43 seats. Now on one hand the party has emerged in a strong position and on the other hand planning has started for Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar. His entry in JDU is almost certain.

There was a demand even before the elections to bring Nishant into the party. Posters were put up by the workers. Many times the workers had demanded that Nishant be brought into the party, because in view of Nitish Kumar’s health, the responsibility of managing the party should now be given to Nishant. Now it is believed that the command of JDU may go into the hands of Nishant.

After Nitish there is no one better than Nishant

A senior leader of JDU and who is very close to Nitish Kumar said that the main vote bank of the party is backward and extremely backward. In such a situation, after Nitish Kumar, there can be no one better than Nishant Kumar. Only he can handle the party. After the elections are over, Nishant is now being put forward for further politics. Nishant also wishes to become active in the politics of Bihar. It cannot be said when he will come, but it is expected that he will come very soon. Big leaders and advisors close to Nitish Kumar are also trying to convince Nitish Kumar about this.

What do political experts say?

Amidst all the discussions and statements, Dhirendra Kumar, who understands the politics of Bihar, said, “Nitish Kumar is now in the last stages of politics. In such a situation, there should be one face to handle the party and no one is better than Nishant Kumar. Because if we look at the history of all the regional parties, the successor has been from the family only. It is because of the family that the party moves forward. Because the arrival of someone else again affects the vote bank.”

He further said, “Nitish Kumar did backward and extremely backward politics from the beginning. In such a situation, unless someone from his family comes forward to consolidate the votes of the backward community, the party’s vote bank will not remain stable. This is the reason why Nishant Kumar has now come into the limelight. Nitish Kumar is a seasoned player of politics. In such a situation, he also understands this very well. In such a situation, Nishant can join JDU at any time.”

What are the leaders saying about Nishant?

Recently, JDU’s acting national president and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Jha had said that the party people want Nishant Kumar to work for the party. On the other hand, BJP leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain had said that this is a very good and happy thing.

Claim to take membership after Kharmas

On the other hand, on Thursday (December 11, 2025), JDU workers also made a big revelation. Said that membership campaign is currently being run by the party. The target is to make two crore members, with Nishant Kumar in the leading role. After Kharmas, Nishant Kumar himself will take membership of the party.

After the big victory in Bihar Assembly elections, now Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s focus is on his party. On Saturday (06 December) he started the membership campaign in the party office in the presence of prominent leaders and workers of JDU. As part of the strategy to further strengthen the organization, a target has been set to add one crore new members in three years.

JDU’s national working president and MP Sanjay Kumar Jha said, “The party’s membership campaign has started from today (06 December). We gave the first membership to the party’s national president and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The party, its officials and the legislative party all congratulated CM Nitish Kumar on taking oath as the Chief Minister for the 10th time. This time we have set a target of Rs 1 crore in the membership campaign.”

Campaign from booth level to district level – Rajeev Ranjan

Meanwhile, JDU’s national spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan said, “The party’s target is to add one crore new members to the organization in the next three years.” For this, a special campaign will be run from booth level to district level. A strategy is being prepared to strengthen the party organization by increasing membership.

‘RJD leaders are disappointed after the election defeat’

Attacking his opponents, he said, “After the crushing defeat in the assembly elections, RJD leaders are dejected and have lost their mental balance. They are blabbering uncontrollably. Earlier it was said that BJP will not make Nitish the Chief Minister. Now they are saying that JDU has merged with BJP.

RJD took a dig at JDU’s membership campaign

On the other hand, RJD took a dig at JDU’s membership campaign program. Party spokesperson Ejaz Ahmed said, “All this is just for show.” This is all a pretense that leaders are being given responsibility. Actually the reality is that from the day Nitish Kumar started following the ideas of BJP, the process of merger of JDU with BJP has started.

He further said, “The next big exercise will be seen soon.” He was indicating that JDU will completely merge with BJP soon. He further said that JDU party has already merged into the ideology of BJP.

Politics is continuously heated regarding the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar. Meanwhile, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has shared a video on his social media ‘X’, taking a dig at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. A unique action of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar can be seen in the video, which has become a topic of discussion in political circles.

It can be clearly seen in the video that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was trying to garland a woman candidate. Then JDU leader Sanjay Kumar Jha extended his hand and gestured to Nitish Kumar. After this, Nitish Kumar looked at Sanjay Kumar Jha and said, “This is an amazing man brother, why do you put your hands forward.” During this, a brief but interesting conversation was witnessed.

He is an amazing man brother!!!

If the Chief Minister is healthy then why is he doing such things after reading the written speech? #Bihar pic.twitter.com/Xhit9l37Ib

—Tejashwi Yadav (@yadavtejashwi) October 21, 2025

What is the whole matter?

CM Nitish Kumar was addressing his candidate. While garlanding the female candidate, Sanjay Kumar Jha extended his hand in the process of giving the garland, due to which Nitish Kumar stopped him and said that give the garland directly in his hand. Despite this, Nitish Kumar put a garland around the neck of the female candidate. This scene became quite cheeky and a topic of discussion from political point of view.

If CM is healthy then why is he acting like this – Tejashwi

Through this video, Tejashwi Yadav raised the question before the public as to why the Chief Minister did this act. He wrote, “If the Chief Minister is healthy then read the written speech, why are you doing such things?” Here, such actions going viral on social media can affect the personality of the leaders and their electoral image.

Discussion intensified regarding this incident

However, till the time of writing the news, it has not been clear regarding this incident in which assembly seat it happened. But as soon as it went viral on social media, political commentary and discussion regarding this incident has intensified. Some supporters are seeing it as light entertainment, while the opposition is using it as a medium to question the behavior of the Chief Minister.

How does JDU react to the viral video?

It has also become clear from this incident that during the election season, every small incident can take a big shape on media and social platforms. The behavior of leaders, their gestures and even small conversations become topics of discussion for the public and political observers. Now it remains to be seen how the Chief Minister and his party react to this viral video and what is the electoral impact of this incident.

Sanjay Kumar Jha said that according to the feedback of us, we have given a report. All our partners kept their own talk. The Prime Minister also asked what is the suggestion of your people in this next? The biggest thing is that most of the time he (PM) was listening to everyone’s words. Gave time to everyone to speak.

‘I think the purpose was fulfilled’

Sanjay Jha said, “The delegation sent by the Prime Minister meant that the whole country was talking in one voice against terrorism. The second biggest thing is that now India’s stand is the policy of zero tolerance against terrorism, we went to the world and told us that we heard all the things. The Prime Minister heard all the things. I think the purpose was fulfilled.”

Sanjay Jha further said, “Terrorism is facing all countries or will suffer, if someone will think that there is a problem of a country, then there is no problem of a country. Everyone has to bear one day or the other.” In response to a question, Sanjay Jha said, “Pakistan is not even in the radar of us. What do we have to do? Today India has become a fourth big economy in the world. Report has just come. There is also a report of Pakistan. Why is there a report of Pakistan. Why to compare with Pakistan?”

JDU leader Sanjay Jha said, “We have to grow people growth, economy, industrialization, change standard of living, move forward, raise people from poverty level, create job opportunities for youth, this is the job. His (Pakistan) is the same task to create a terrorism factory.”

India Pakistan Ceasefire: During Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army defeated the army of Aseem Munir tremendously. Desperate Pakistan requested India to ceasefire and India accepted this request. US President Donald Trump is constantly trying to take credits. Meanwhile, the future delegation from abroad explained in detail to expose Pakistan, how the ceasefire was.

Repeating the central government’s attitude, JDU MP Sanjay Kumar Jha said that the ceasefire was completely bilateral and it was initiated by Pakistan. He said that Pakistani DGMO had called for it but there was a problem in the hotline. Sanjay Jha is leading the Indian delegation who arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and he said this here.

Panic, Pakistan calls its embassy in India

He said, “If I tell you especially, the Pakistani DGMO tried for a ceasefire in the morning but there was a problem in the hotline. Because some people ask how this ceasefire was done, then I tell that after this I tell the people of Pakistan Embassy in India contacted the Indian people and told that they are trying to contact the DGMO of India but they are not talking about it.”

‘Whatever we wanted to do’

He further says, “After this the message came that we will talk after one and a half o’clock. Then the DGMO of India talked to him. He requested for the ceasefire and this happened at 3:35 pm. After this, India agreed to the ceasefire because India is not in favor of war. We wanted to give the message that we wanted to demolish their terrorist bases and we showed this.”

It is also important to know here that Donald Trump announced a ceasefire between India and Pakistan on May 10 at 5.25 pm, which took place about two hours after Jha’s claim of talks between the two countries. After this, India and Pakistan confirmed the ceasefire.
