Since then, this building has remained the office of Maman Singh District Shishu Academy. The land is listed as non-agricultural government (special) land and is given to the Shishu Academy on a long-term lease.

No family or historical relationship
Bangladesh’s Foreign Ministry said that after intensive review of land records, it has been confirmed that this land belongs to the government and it has nothing to do with the Ray family.

Local senior citizens and eminent people of various communities have also confirmed that this house and land have no historical relations with the ancestors of Satyajit Ray. In addition, this building is not listed as archaeological monuments.
