America-based content creator Sarika Yadav shared a video on Instagram. He told that for a simple Satyanarayan puja in America, Pandit ji charges 300 to 350 dollars, which is around 28 thousand to 33 thousand in Indian rupees. If the puja is done in a temple, then a separate expense of 100 to 150 dollars i.e. about 10 to 15 thousand rupees is also added.

Sarika also told that either the family itself collects the items required for the puja or the Panditji has to pay separately for it. Apart from this, the demand for pundits increases significantly on special occasions like house warming, Dhanteras, Sawan. On purchasing a new car, a separate fee is also charged for performing puja.

How does Panditji go to America?

It was also told in the video that many Panditjis use R-1 visa to go to America. This visa is especially for those doing religious work. For this they have to fulfill religious education and some important conditions.
