During the ongoing war between Iran and America, Saudi Arabia also carried out secret air strikes on Iran at the end of March. News agency Reuters has made this claim quoting two foreign and two Iranian officials. The report said that these attacks were carried out in response to the drone and missile attacks on Saudi Arabia by Iran. However, Saudi Arabia has never publicly admitted that it had attacked Iranian soil.

According to officials, these attacks were carried out in the last week of March. At the same time, attacks were being carried out from Iran on those Gulf countries where American military bases are present. An official said that Saudi Arabia had taken this action in response to its security. However, the report did not clarify which areas of Iran were targeted. It was also not told how much damage was caused in the attacks.

Saudi Foreign Ministry did not give any answer

When the Saudi Foreign Ministry was asked for a response on this matter, it did not confirm these attacks. No official statement was issued by Iran’s Foreign Ministry either. According to Reuters report, when the Iran-America war was at its peak, despite this, talks continued between Saudi Arabia and Iran. Meanwhile, constant contact was maintained between the two countries through the Iranian ambassador present in Riyadh. It has also been claimed in the report that Saudi Arabia had already informed Iran about the attacks. After this, rapid diplomatic level talks took place between the two countries.

Saudi Arabia attacked with 105 drones

Saudi Arabia had also warned Iran of further retaliation. Later both the countries agreed to reduce tension. An Iranian official also confirmed that talks were held between the two countries to reduce tension. He said that its purpose was to prevent the situation from worsening and to protect the interests of both the countries. According to the report, there were more than 105 drone and missile attacks on Saudi Arabia between March 25 and 31, but between April 1 and April 6, this number came down to about 25.
