There are also some deductions from the gross salary. These include PF, income tax, professional tax and pension amount. On an average, there is a deduction of around Rs 12,000 every month. The net salary that SBI PO gets after deduction is approximately Rs 80,000 to 82,000 per month. This is the reason why SBI PO job is counted among the top banking jobs in the country.

Role of fitment factor in 8th Pay Commission

Fitment factor is used in the Pay Commission to increase the salary. At present there is discussion that the fitment factor in the 8th Pay Commission may be 2.5. This means that the new salary can be decided by multiplying the existing basic salary by 2.5 times.

How much will the salary of SBI PO increase after the implementation of 8th Pay Commission?

If fitment factor 2.5 is implemented, then there may be a big jump in the basic salary of SBI PO. The current basic pay is Rs 56,480. According to fitment factor 2.5, it can increase to around Rs 1,41,200. Along with this, DA, HRA and other allowances will also increase on the basis of new basic salary. In such a situation, the total gross salary of SBI PO can be around Rs 1.5 lakh or even more.
