CBSE 12th Re-evaluation 2026: After the declaration of CBSE Class 12th Board Exam 2026 results, thousands of students are involved in the process of re-checking and re-evaluation regarding their marks. Meanwhile, many students faced problems when they were applying for the scanned copy of their answer book. More fees were deducted from the account of some students, while less fees were deposited from some students. At the same time, many students could not complete the application due to technical problems of the website.

Now the Central Board of Secondary Education has issued a new update on this matter. The board has clearly said that the amount will be returned to the students from whose accounts the extra money has been deducted. Also, the scanned copy of the students whose application has found a fee related error will still be provided and they will not need to apply again.

What is the whole matter?

On 21st and 22nd May 2026, a large number of students were applying for the scanned copy of their answer book on the CBSE portal. Suddenly there was a huge increase in traffic on the website, due to which there was pressure on the server. During this time, technical problems also came to light. Many students complained that while depositing the fees, Payment Failed was seen again and again. Money was deducted from the account of some students twice. Somewhere more fees were deducted than necessary. The applications of some students were not completed. The website was shutting down again and again. After these problems, concern had increased among students and parents. Many students also shared their problems on social media.

What did CBSE say?

In the notice issued by CBSE’s Controller of Examinations, Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, it has been said that in cases where excess fees have been deducted, the extra amount will be sent back in the same payment medium through which the payment was made. The board also said that students from whom less fees have been deposited will be informed separately. Also, if required, the remaining fees will be deposited later. Their scanned copies will be provided to all affected students. Students do not need to apply again. This decision has brought great relief to those students who were troubled due to the problem of fee deduction.

What is the date of application?

Earlier the last date to apply for the scanned copy was fixed as 23 May 2026. But due to continuous technical problems and heavy traffic on the website, many students were not able to apply on time. CBSE admitted that the portal was affected due to high load on the server and some unauthorized interference attempts. For this reason, giving additional opportunity to the students, the board extended the last date of application to 24 May 2026.

How to apply for re-evaluation?

1. Go to the official website of CBSE.

2. Login by filling roll number, school number and necessary information.

3. Click on the option of Answer Book Scan Copy or Verification/Re-evaluation.

4. Select the subject for which you want a copy.

5. Deposit the fees online.

6. After submitting the form, download the receipt and keep it safe.
