Indian Railways transports millions of passengers from one place to another every day. For the convenience of passengers and to make the journey comfortable, Indian Railways makes many rules from time to time. Often during travel, people remain confused as to when they can use the middle berth. At times, there are fights and arguments among people regarding the use of middle berth during travel. Some people need a place to sit at night and some people want to sleep. In such a situation, it is important for you to know the rules related to middle berth in advance. So today let us tell you from what time you can use the middle berth in the train and what is the railway rule regarding this.

From what time can I use the middle berth?

According to the rules of Indian Railways, the time for sleeping in reserved coaches is fixed from 10 pm to 6 am. In such a situation, middle berth passengers can sleep with their seats open from 10 pm to 6 am. According to this rule, if a passenger wants to sleep on the middle berth after 10 pm, then the passengers sitting on the lower berth cannot stop him. This time is considered the official sleeping time and all passengers have to follow this rule.

Middle berth cannot be opened during the day

According to railway rules, it is necessary to keep the middle berth closed after 6 am. So that lower berth passengers can get space to sit. The middle berth cannot be used for sitting or sleeping during day time. If a passenger opens the middle berth before 10 pm, the lower berth passenger can refuse to do so and can also complain to TT.

It is also important to know the rules related to lower berth

Lower berths can be used both day and night, but middle berth passengers have the right to sleep from 10 pm to 6 am. During the day, lower berth passengers have to give way to middle berth and upper berth passengers. Railways made this rule so that all passengers get equal facilities and no one is inconvenienced.

It is also important to know these rules of Railways

There are some more important rules during train travel, which passengers should be aware of. Smoking and drinking alcohol in trains is prohibited under Indian Railways. If caught doing this, action may be taken against the passenger. Apart from this, fighting in the train, talking loudly or playing music is also considered prohibited. Because this may cause trouble to other passengers. Apart from this, as per railway rules, tickets of TT passengers cannot be checked from 10 pm to 6 am so that the passengers can sleep comfortably. However, if a passenger boards the train after 10 o’clock then this rule does not apply to him.

The nomination process for the second and final phase of Bihar Assembly elections was completed on Monday (October 20), but with this process, cracks and differences within the opposition ‘India’ alliance have also come to the fore. The constituent parties are facing each other on many seats, due to which questions are being raised on the unity of the alliance.

According to the Election Commission, a total of 1,314 candidates are in the fray for the first phase of elections. Voting for 121 seats will be held on November 6, while the second phase of voting will be held on November 11. After scrutiny of nomination papers, nominations of more than 300 candidates were rejected and 61 candidates withdrew their names.

RJD released the list of 143 candidates

RJD, the largest opposition party, released its list of 143 candidates late, leading to confusion on many seats. The party tried to avoid a direct conflict with the Congress, but still the candidates of both the parties are face to face in seats like Lalganj, Vaishali and Kahalgaon.

VIP candidate withdrew nomination

RJD’s differences with Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) also came to the fore. VIP candidate from Tarapur seat, Sakaldev Bind, unhappy with RJD’s stand, withdrew his nomination and joined BJP. Similarly, there is confusion among RJD candidates in Gaudaboram seat of Darbhanga, as Lalu Prasad supported one candidate while the other refused to back down.

Women’s cell president Ritu Jaiswal rebelled and announced to contest the elections as an independent candidate on Parihar seat. He alleges that the party has distributed the tickets under ‘family pressure’.

Cracks were seen in the alliance on these seats

Cracks within the ‘India’ alliance have also been seen on Bachhwara, Rajapakar and Rosra seats, where both Congress and CPI have fielded their candidates. This time Congress is contesting on 61 seats, whereas in 2020 it had contested on 66 seats. There is dissatisfaction within the party regarding ticket distribution.

Vikassheel Party got 16 seats in the alliance

At the same time, Vikassheel Insaan Party has got 16 seats, whereas earlier it had demanded 40-50 seats and the post of Deputy Chief Minister. CPI (ML) Liberation has fielded candidates on 20 seats, CPI on nine and CPI(M) on four seats.

Many dramatic incidents also took place on the last day of nominations. RJD candidate from Sasaram, Satyendra Sah, was arrested by Jharkhand Police in an old bank robbery case. This was the third arrest of ‘India’ alliance candidates, with the CPI (ML) accusing the ruling NDA of acting out of ‘political fear’.
