The situation was not clear till now

Till now it was not clear whether these elections will be fought in the form of grand alliance of BJP, Shiv Sena, nationalist group and Mahavikas Aghadi ‘Shiv Sena Thackeray group, Congress, Nationalist Sharad Pawar group’ or the parties will contest on their own.

Senior leaders of Mahayuti had claimed that the elections would be fought only as an alliance, but at many places local officials were giving slogans of contesting the elections on their own. In many municipal corporations, workers of BJP, Shiv Sena and Nationalist had expressed their desire to contest elections on their own.

Mahayuti formula decided for elections

In such a situation, the question was arising whether the three parties would fight together or separately? Meanwhile, now big news has come. According to sources, the Mahayuti formula for the municipal elections has been decided. In Mumbai, all three parties BJP, Shiv Sena and nationalist will contest elections together. Whereas in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad, BJP will contest elections on its own.

No final decision has been taken yet regarding Thane Municipal Corporation elections. Fadnavis said that possibilities of fighting the elections unitedly in Thane are being explored. He also said that ‘wherever the opponents can benefit, we will fight together as a Mahayuti.’

Suspense continues in Mahavikas Aghadi

Meanwhile, no clear decision has been taken by Mahavikas Aghadi regarding local body elections. On the other hand, the discussion of a possible alliance between Raj Thackeray’s MNS and Shiv Sena Thackeray faction is also intensifying. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see whether Raj Thackeray will go with Mahavikas Aghadi in the upcoming local elections or not.

There is a possibility that seat sharing in the Grand Alliance may be announced on Tuesday (October 14, 2025). It is believed that talks with the parties involved in the grand alliance have almost been completed. However, Mukesh Sahni is incurring huge losses. That’s because they are not getting even half of the 60 seats they were talking about. If sources are to be believed, there is no consideration of giving more than 15 seats to Vikassheel Insaan Party.

First understand the formula of seats in the Grand Alliance

If sources are to be believed, talks have been held with Tejashwi Yadav on 60 Congress seats. That means there is no problem between Congress and RJD now. Now RJD is in talks especially with VIP’s Mukesh Sahni. Left parties can get 30 seats. It has been considered to give 15 seats for VIP, two seats for JMM and one seat for IIP. RJD itself will contest on 135 seats.

On the other hand, the question is that if Mukesh Sahni is not given more than 15 seats, will he be ready or will he suddenly go with NDA again like in the 2020 assembly elections? Discussion on such questions has started in the political circles. However, seats have been divided in the NDA alliance. BJP and JDU will fight on 101-101 seats. Whereas Chirag’s party has been given 29 seats. Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party HAM and Upendra Kushwaha have got six seats. The question is that if Mukesh Sahni joins NDA, which party will sacrifice seats? Now it depends on Mukesh Sahni whether he remains in the grand alliance or not. There will be no offer from the Grand Alliance on these terms. Is the way open in NDA? On this he said that it is difficult to say. I think the path to NDA is now closed for Mukesh Sahni, but politics is a game of possibilities. Maybe some option will open up. If the option opens, it will be difficult to get six seats. Be it Grand Alliance or NDA, Mukesh Sahni is no longer in a position to make demands.

On the other hand, a big leader of VIP party said that the seats are being reduced because of Akhilesh Singh (Congress leader). They are filling Lalu Yadav’s ears. Pressure is being put on RJD that if more seats are given to VIPs then after winning they can go with BJP and form the government. On the question whether there is a possibility of joining NDA? On this it was said that no, we have to remain in the Grand Alliance only.

Assembly elections are going to be held in Bihar after Chhath. After the announcement of the dates, there is continuous discussion among the parties on the distribution of seats. This is the reason why neither the India Alliance nor the NDA have yet made any official announcement regarding seat sharing. However, the formula for seat sharing is almost considered fixed. According to the news being received quoting reliable sources, JDU will play the role of elder brother in NDA. JDU can get 102 seats. BJP will be at second place. Bharatiya Janata Party can contest on 101 seats. On the other hand, BJP leaders are trying to convince Chirag Paswan. It is believed that his party LJP (Ram Vilas) can be given 26 seats. Whereas Manjhi’s party HAM can be given 7 seats and Upendra Kushwaha’s party Rashtriya Lok Morcha can be given 7 seats.

Chirag gets more offers along with this

According to the information received so far, there is a dilemma regarding some seats. It is almost certain that Chirag will not be given less than 25 seats. If Chirag gets 25 seats then BJP can fight on 102. That means JDU and BJP can contest equal number of seats. A leader of Chirag’s party said that a list of 26 seats has been given by them. However, BJP has also offered one MLC and one Rajya Sabha seat to Chirag Paswan.

Let us tell you that on Tuesday (October 07, 2025), senior BJP leaders Dharmendra Pradhan, Vinod Tawde and Mangal Pandey had met Chirag Paswan at his residence in Delhi. Sahni can get 18 to 20 seats

In the 2020 elections, the Congress fought in 70 seats, while this time only 50 to 55 seats are expected to be received. At the same time, RJD is trying to hold 125-130 seats with it. Left parties can be given 30-35 seats and VIPs 18 to 20 seats. On the other hand, RLJP is expected to get 3 to 4 seats JMM 2 to 3 seats. If VIP gets 18 to 20 seats then it will remain in profit.

Many MLAs may cut tickets

The rounds of meetings are going on from all parties regarding Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. All caste people will get tickets
