US Iran Tensions: US President Donald Trump has made a big claim regarding the Strait of Hormuz. Trump said that America carried out a secret military mission to transport more than 100 million barrels of oil to the global market through the Strait of Hormuz. He also claimed that during this operation more than 200 commercial ships were successful in passing through the strait safely.

Trump shared this information on his social media platform Truth Social and later during a press briefing. He says that this campaign was conducted in a completely confidential manner.

Secret mission revealed on Truth Social

Donald Trump, posting on Truth Social, said that last month he had directed the US military to conduct a secret mission to help oil tankers and other commercial ships. “Last month, I directed our great American military to conduct a secret mission to assist oil tankers and other commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz,” Trump wrote.

He further claimed that as a result of this operation, more than 100 million barrels of oil could reach the global market and more than 200 commercial ships passed through this route safely.

Iran had no knowledge: Trump

While talking to reporters in the Oval Office of the White House, Trump claimed that America had been extracting millions of barrels of oil through the Strait of Hormuz for a long time and Iran was not even aware of it. Trump said, “Now I can tell you something that no one knew before. We were extracting millions of barrels of oil and no one knew about it.” He added, “You know who didn’t know about this? Iran. At least not yet.”

Claim of evacuation of 22 ships at night

The US President claimed that recently one night, 22 ships were safely evacuated from the Strait of Hormuz without lights. According to Trump, “We evacuated 22 ships late at night without any lights because they did not have radar. We completely disabled their radar system.” However, no official confirmation has come from the US Army on this claim of Trump.

Also made claims regarding crude oil prices

Trump said that due to his efforts, crude oil prices remained under control in the international market. He claims that if this campaign had not been carried out, crude oil prices could have reached $200 per barrel, but due to American action, prices remained below $90 per barrel.

‘Project Freedom’ had started earlier also

According to reports, the US launched a military operation named “Project Freedom” in early May to provide security to ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. However, this campaign was stopped after a day. Later there were reports in the American media that this mission has been restarted.

US Army had earlier denied

At the same time, the US Central Command had denied the media reports at that time, which said that the US Navy was providing escort or assistance to commercial ships. The Central Command had clarified that reports regarding the Navy escorting commercial ships or providing special assistance were not true.

When Donald Trump was preparing for nuclear talks with Kim Jong-un, his team tried to gain a strategic lead over North Korea. According to the New York Times report, the Trump administration tried to intercept Kim Jong’s calls and make a dent in his communication system, but the mission failed completely. The US conducted a very dangerous secret operation against North Korea’s Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un. The New York Times report stated that the Seal Team 6 carried out a high -risk mission in 2019, but the mission failed.

The purpose of secret mission
The American Special Navy Force Seal Team 6 aims to install an electronic device to intercept Kim Jong-un’s communication system. This operation was done when nuclear talks were going on between the US and North Korea.

Causes of mission failure
During the mission, the team found a common civilian boat from North Korea, in which some sailors were collecting seaweed. The team felt that their identity had been revealed, so they stopped the operation.

Firing revealed
The New York Times report states that North Korean sailors were shot, while they were unarmed. After this, the Seal team planned to come back safely. The mission consisted of more than two dozen persons, including former officers and military personnel. When asked about this mission, Donald Trump said, “I don’t know anything about it. I am listening for the first time.”

Mission preparation
In 2018, American intelligence agencies proposed to the White House. Trump approved it in the 2018 fall. After this, the Seal team practiced in American water areas for several months. Then, in early 2019, preparations were made to execute the mission.

Mission strategy
Seals from nuclear-managed submarine were sent to North Korean Jalasima after riding in two mini-sabmarin. They had to make safe return by installing communication equipment there. But seeing a boat, the mission was canceled.

North Korea came to know or not?
It is not yet clear whether the North Korean government got information about this mission or not. The Pentagon did not comment on it.

Trump and Kim meet
Donald Trump had three historic meetings with Kim Jong-Un- Singapore (June 2018), Hanoi (February 2019) and Panmunjom (June 2019). The Seal team was confident that they had completed the mission last time (in 2005) without holding.
