Jammu kashmir encounter: The encounter started in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday (April 9) after the news of about three terrorists hiding from the security forces. Udhampur police said, during the search operation of police and other security forces, contact with terrorists was established in Jofar village of Ramnagar police station area of ​​Udhampur, after which the encounter continues.

Rais Mohammad Bhat, DIG of Udhampur-Risi range, said, at least two to three terrorists are trapped. He said, “The firing continues. Encounter between security forces and suspected militants is going on in Marta village of Ramnagar in Udhampur district. Contact with terrorists was established during the search operation of Jammu and Kashmir Police and other forces. 2-3 terrorists are stuck. The firing continues.”

The operation started on 24 March in Sanyal area of ​​Kathua district. Since then, three encounters have taken place and for the last 17 days, the police and security forces have been monitoring the movement of terrorists from one area to another. At least two terrorists and four policemen were killed in an encounter in the area on 27 March.
