The reason is believed to be not Tariffs, but AI driven Technological Shift. Anthropic’s Claude 4 and Autonomous Coding Agents have increased pressure on the traditional IT Services model. Time and Material based models and legacy maintenance revenue are being challenged by AI automation. Although not a bubble like 2000, but a consolidation like 2008 is visible—this could become a long-term opportunity for companies adopting AI.
