Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is known as ‘Mr. Perfectionist’. However, actress Shagufta Ali talked about Aamir Khan’s perfectionist tag. He said that Govinda is a bigger perfectionist than Aamir. He shared his experience of working with Govinda on the sets of Hero No. 1.

While talking to Siddharth Kanan, Shagufta said, ‘Whether Govinda or Karisma was on the set, we used to enjoy a lot. We were on a tree picnic. The outdoor shoot in Ooty was amazing. We stayed in Mithun da’s hotel. When he came to know about it, he came to meet us. He prepared seafood himself and fed us.

Govinda is more of a perfectionist

He further said, ‘Govinda used to come late to the set there too. If the shift was at 9 o’clock, he would come by 1 or 2 o’clock. Never came before. This was the only issue with Govinda. Apart from this he was very nice. He was doing 3-4 films simultaneously. He was a very good person. He used to do 25 rehearsals. Govinda was a bigger perfectionist than Aamir Khan. David sir was always okay with his takes. But he still asked for a second take and also apologized to everyone. His thinking about perfection was strong. He didn’t care whether the person next to him was tired or not.

Shagufta further told that legendary actor Kader Khan used to get angry many times whenever Govinda was late. Other co-stars also used to get irritated at times. But he had no other option but to wait for Govinda.

Let us tell you that Govinda ruled the industry in the 90s. He has given many successful films like Raja Babu, Coolie No. 1, Hero No. 1, Saajan Chale Sasural, Dulhe Raja Haseena Maan Jayegi. However, in the 2000s they saw a downfall. In 2007, he was seen in the film Partner with Salman Khan. It was successful. But after this his career did not take off. Now he is going to make a comeback with the film ‘Rupa’.
