Actor Shahid Kapoor has spent more than two decades in Bollywood. He recently told that people think that he became an actor because he was Pankaj Kapoor’s son. but it’s not like that.

Shahid Kapoor did not get into acting because of his father

Shahid Kapoor talked about his personal life in Punjab First Voice Podcast. He said, ‘People think that I am Pankaj Kapoor’s son, that’s why I am an actor. But my parents separated when I was 3 years old. I could not spend much time with my father. So people didn’t even know that I was their son. And I also never used his name. I lived with my mother. Things just kept happening for me. I never asked my father for help. He also never called for my work.

Shahid also talked about the separation of his parents. He said, ‘I was very young when my parents got divorced. You feel that absence. I think many people can relate to this.

Neelima and Pankaj’s wedding

Let us tell you that Shahid’s mother’s name is Neelima Azim. After divorcing Pankaj Kapoor, Neelima was a single parent for many years. After this she married Rajesh Khattar.
