Choreographer Shakti Mohan had recently mentioned this painful incident in Siddharth Kannan’s podcast. She said, ‘When my accident happened, I was crossing the road and going to the nursery of Mukti, who is Shakti’s sister. She was 2 years old at this time. So he had to be brought across the road from school and I was very excited. I ran right left. So a bike was coming and my foot got stuck in the wheel of the bike and my left leg was completely broken and my back was also broken.

She said, ‘I was very happy at that time that now I will not have to go to school. And I had no idea about that pain. But for 7 months I used to take it straight on the bed. I couldn’t even sit. She said that I think that if this had happened later, perhaps I would not have been able to recover.

Doctors had said this
Shakti further said, ‘But the doctors had told my parents that she would never be able to walk again. In this manner the leg is completely broken. But he and his family never gave up. The dancer stood on her feet with the help of her family and today is a well-known dancer in the industry.
