Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati held a press conference in Varanasi on Friday (January 30) on the controversy that took place in Prayagraj Magh Mela. During this, on the question of bathing again in Prayagraj Sangam, Shankaracharya clearly said that now this matter has been left behind. Now the issue of real and fake Hindus has come, fake Hindus should be exposed.

After Shankaracharya left Prayagraj, news came that two senior officials of Lucknow were in touch with Swami Avimukteshwaranand and were appealing to him to take bath on Maghi Purnima. But Shankaracharya is adamant on his conditions. Shankaracharya again said on the question of bathing, now that matter has been left behind, now the matter is about the real Hindu and the fake Hindu.

It is necessary to expose fake Hindus

Shankaracharya said that now the point is that fake Hindus have to be exposed. All the Hindus in this country are being cheated. That deception is being done by none other than the person who claims to be a saint, a saint, a yogi and a saffron bearer and his party. Therefore it should be exposed.

Shankaracharya clearly said that he had told us at the time when we left Prayag. We want you to raise this matter in the next month itself, otherwise the campaign to protect our mother cow will be hampered. On being in touch with the authorities, he said that there is a way to apologize. To be forgiven one has to apologize.

‘One has to beg for forgiveness’

Swami Avimukteshwaranand claimed, “They (officials) were luring us that you take a bath like this, we will shower flowers on you. We will make SOP for the four Shankaracharyas. But, we rejected it. We said that the only condition for the Sannyasis and Batukas on whom you lathicharged is to apologise, plead but they did not come forward for this. They wanted to lure us. We have refused that.

He said that every Hindu is Hanuman and whoever comes to Kalnemi now, we will fight him and we are Hanuman. Now stop attacking the Sanatanis by calling yourself Hindu-Hindu.

Politics has also intensified over the controversy that started regarding Shankaracharya in Prayagraj Magh Mela. In Lucknow, Congress party has come in support of Shankaracharya. Posters have been put up outside the party office in support of Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, in which the fight with his batuks has been shown on the day of Mauni Amavasya.

In this poster, questions have been raised on the entire episode by mentioning the couplet of Shri Ramcharitmanas ‘Jaako Prabhu Darun Dukh Dehi, Taki Mati Pehle Har Lehi’.
