Stock Market Today: The beginning of the trading day on Tuesday, January 27 in the Indian stock market was flat. Major benchmark indices BSE Sensex opened trading on the red mark and NSE Nifty 50 on the green mark.

The 30-share BSE Sensex index opened at 81,436.79 points with a fall of 100.91 points or 0.12 percent, while the NSE Nifty 50 opened at 25,063.35 points with a jump of 14.70 points or 0.06 percent. However, as soon as the market opened, Nifty also slipped to the red mark.

By around 9:25 am, the Sensex was trading at 81,135 points, down by 401 points. Whereas Nifty 50 was trading at the level of 24,944 after slipping 104 points.

How was the market on Friday?

On Friday, January 23, there was a huge decline in the Indian stock market and both the major benchmark indices closed trading in the red. Sensex fell by 769.67 points or 0.94 percent to 81,537.70 points, while NSE Nifty 50 slipped by 241.25 points or 0.95 percent and ended the trading day at 25,048.65.

Tech Mahindra, TCS, HCL Tech and Titan were the top gainers from the BSE basket. Talking about the top losers, Adani Port, Eternal, Indigo, Axis Bank and Power Grid were.

There was a decline in the shares of Nifty Midcap 100, Nifty 100, Nifty Bank, Nifty IT, Nifty Smallcap 100, Nifty Auto and Nifty FMCG. On Friday’s trading day, 7 shares from BSE basket closed in the green and 23 shares recorded a decline.
