Stock Market Holiday: The Indian stock market will remain closed today, 14 April 2026, on the occasion of Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Jayanti. According to the holiday calendar of BSE and NSE, the stock markets will remain closed on April 14 on the occasion of Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Jayanti. There will be no trading today. Trading will resume on Wednesday, April 15.

According to the information available on the official website, the equity derivatives and currency segments of the market will also remain closed on April 14. However, trading in commodity derivatives will remain closed only in the morning session and will reopen in the evening session. Equity markets operate from Monday to Friday on normal trading days, with trading taking place between 9:15 am and 3:30 pm.

There will be no trading in NSE and BSE

Today NSE and BSE will remain closed for the whole day. There will be no trading in equity, equity derivatives and currency derivatives. Only the morning session (9 to 5 am) will remain closed in Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). However, trading will continue in the evening session from 5 pm to 11:55 pm. NCDEX will remain closed in both the sessions.

Now the next holiday in the stock market will be on 1st May on the occasion of Maharashtra Day. After this, Bakrid is on 28th May. The stock market will remain closed on this day also. Then in the month of June, there will be no trading in the stock market on 26th June due to Muharram. No holidays in July. After this, 15th August is on Saturday, hence there will be no separate holiday. Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on 14th September, hence there will be a holiday for the stock market on this day.

When are the holidays from October to December?

Apart from the weekly off in October, the market will remain closed on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October and Dussehra on 20th October. After this, there will be Diwali Balipratipada holiday on 10th November. Then on 24th November the market will remain closed on the occasion of Prakash Guruparv Shri Gurunanak Jayanti. In December, there will be only Christmas holiday on 25th December.
