Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has given a big statement amidst the questions arising on India’s economy and debate over the education system. Taking a dig at Trump and Rahul Gandhi, he said that calling India’s economy ‘dead’ is just political rhetoric, while the reality is that India is gaining 7.8% GDP growth even in the midst of global lethargy. Rijiju described it as India’s strength and the result of the right policies under the leadership of PM Modi.

According to the news agency IANS, during a media interaction with the media in Delhi, Rijiju said, “Donald Trump and Rahul Gandhi called India’s economy ‘dead’. Some people by creating a YouTube channel say that India has ended, democracy is over, but the truth is that despite the economic downturn in the world, India is constantly getting stronger.”

Opinion on madrasa and modern education

On the question asked about the madrasa, Rijiju said that religious education is fine, but in today’s time modern education is also very important. He said, “If students want jobs, scientific knowledge, then it is possible only with modern education. Therefore it is necessary to include modern studies in madrasas.”

Rijiju also commented on the Congress, saying that there are many leaders in the party, such as Shashi Tharoor, who thinks in the country, but are afraid to speak openly in their own party. He said that whenever Tharoor speaks, he starts opposing and criticizing the Congress, which is not right for democracy.
