Indian Team Fielding Coach: There is a big stir in the coaching staff of the Indian cricket team. Earlier it was reported that assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate resigned. Now came the news of dismissal and replacement of fielding coach T Dilip. These changes happened before Team India’s tour of Sri Lanka.

Quoting Sports Star, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia said that the contracts of both (Ryan ten Doeschate and T Dilip) had expired on the Ireland and England tour. The contracts of both were not extended further. Let us tell you that T Dilip is with Team India since 2021. Last year his contract was extended for one year.

Shubhadeep Ghosh new fielding coach

The report further said that Shubhadeep Ghosh will replace T Dilip in the support staff of Team India. From August 15, Team India has to play a 2-match Test series on Sri Lanka tour. This could be the first series for Shubhadeep Ghosh as India’s fielding coach.

Who is Shubhdeep Ghosh?

Shubhdeep was a player who played domestic cricket for Assam and Railways. He could not play for Team India. His first class career did not last long. He played 17 first class and 17 List-A matches in his domestic career. He scored 316 runs in 25 First Class innings and 307 runs in 17 List-A innings.

However, it is worth noting that BCCI has not officially given any information regarding the changes in the coaching staff.

During the 2023 ODI World Cup, T Dilip made a lot of headlines with the best fielding medal. The best fielder in the match was given a medal. Along with this, there was a lot of improvement in India’s fielding, but for some time now the fielding department of Team India has looked very weak.
