Shubman Gill has scored the fastest century of IPL for Gujarat Titans. He achieved this feat in the Qualifier 2 match against Rajasthan Royals. Gill completed his century in 47 balls against Rajasthan. Till scoring his century, Gill hit 15 fours and three sixes in this historic innings. This is the fifth century of Shubman Gill’s IPL career.

Fastest century for Gujarat

So far in history, Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan are the only two batsmen who have scored a century for Gujarat Titans. Earlier too, the record of scoring the fastest century for Gujarat was in the name of Shubman Gill. He completed his century in 49 balls against Mumbai Indians in 2023. Now he has improved his own record and completed his century in 47 balls.

In the match against Rajasthan Royals, Shubman Gill scored 104 runs playing 53 balls. Gill and Sudarshan made a partnership of 167 runs for the first wicket in this match. This is the third time in the history of IPL when Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan have made a partnership of 150 or more runs for any wicket.

Shubman Gill has scored 722 runs so far in IPL 2026. This is only the second time in history that Gill has crossed the 700-run mark in a season. Earlier, Gill had done this in the 2023 season, when he had scored 890 runs.

Talking about the Qualifier-2 match, Rajasthan Royals had scored 214 runs while batting first. On the basis of historic innings of Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan, Gujarat defeated Rajasthan by 7 wickets and made it to the final.
