In India’s second innings in the Manchester Test, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sai Sudarshan were dismissed in the first over. Therefore, this historical partnership of Shubman Gill and KL Rahul started in the first over. The two together played 417 balls during this partnership. Earlier, this record was named after Rahul Dravid and Sanjay Bangar, who added 170 runs while playing 405 balls at the Headingley Cricket Ground in 2002. He is followed by Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly, who partnered 249 runs in 357 balls.

Rahul has scored 2 centuries in this series against England, unfortunately he could not complete the century in the Manchester Test. He was dismissed by Ben Stokes on a score of 90 runs.

Indian captain Shubman Gill is the captain to score the most runs in this series. On the one hand, Gill has crossed the 700 -run mark in the series, while KL Rahul has come second in terms of scoring the most runs. He has scored 511 runs in the current series. Indian batsman Rishabh Pant is also at number three in the list of batsmen who have scored the most runs.
