Shweta Tripathi was born on 6 July 1985 in New Delhi. His father was an IAS officer and his mother was a school teacher. He has received a graduation degree in fashion communication from the National Institute of Fashionary Technology.

Shweta wanted to become an actress since childhood and this dream came true from her first film Masan, in which she worked with Vicky Kaushal. Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, the film won two awards at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.

After that Shweta Tripathi got her acting iron in many films like Gon Kesha, Cargo, Raat Hai and Kanjus Makhichus.

Shweta owns a theater production company Almity Productions. The theater played an important role in her life and she met her husband, rapper Chaitanya Singh, who is known as Slow Cheetah.

After playing the role of Golu alias Gajgamini Gupta in Crime thriller web series Mirzapur, Shweta became a sensation in the Indian streaming world.

She has played the lead character in three seasons of one of the most famous series in India since 2018.

Shweta has also played major roles in other web series like black black eyes, Kalkoot, one in millions, Made in Heaven and Escape Live.

Shweta Tripathi has officially started shooting for Mirzapur: The Movie, in which she will once again be seen in the role of her famous character Gajgamini “Golu” Gupta. Shweta, who is known for her powerful beauty in the web series, is now bringing Golu on the big screen for the first time, starting a new chapter in the franchise’s journey.
