In Oldbury city of UK, two people carried out the rape of a 20 -year -old girl from a Sikh community. Along with this, both the attackers also made the girl a victim of their racist comments. The attackers asked the woman to go back to her country. The incident re -exposes racial discrimination and attacks with the migrants of Indian origin in Britain. The incident took place on Tuesday (September 9, 2025) near Tem Road in Oldbury city of UK at 8:30 am.

The UK Police has termed the incident as an attack -motivated attack and appealed to the people to catch the attackers. The woman from the Sikh community said that the attackers made racist comments on her. At the same time, the police said that CCTV and forensic investigation is going on in connection with this incident.

According to the report of Birmingham Live, both the attackers who carried out the incident were white men. One of them was shaved and he was wearing a dark colored sweets, while the other attacker wore a gray color t -shirt.

Outrage in Sikh community since the incident

There is a deep resentment in the Sikh community since the incident with a Sikh woman in a city in Britain. This incident is also considered to be an ambush. In this regard, a senior police officer said that this anger of the people can be fully understood and he has assured that he will increase the patrolling in that area further.

British MP condemns the incident

Preet Kaur Gill, MP from Birmingham Edgbaston, UK, has condemned the incident. He said that the incidents of open racism in recent times are very worrying. He said, ‘This incident was a very violent act and it is also considered to be an attack inspired by a racism. The attackers allegedly told the victim that she is not here. But she is exactly here.

He said, ‘Our Sikh community and every community have the right to feel safe, respected and important. There is no place for racism and women’s protests anywhere in Oldbury or anywhere in Britain.

At the same time, another MP from Ilford South, Jas Athwal, has called the incident disgusting, racist and anti -women attack and said that it should be taken seriously. He said, ‘This attack is the result of increasing racial stress in our country and now a young woman has suffered from the shock of this attack.’

From Guru Nanak Dev Ji to Guru Govind Singh Ji Maharaj, every Guru sacrificed himself to protect Sanatan Dharma and the nation. He said that whenever there was a crisis on Indian culture, Sikh Gurus went ahead and saved it from their sacrifice.

CM Yogi especially remembered the martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. He said that in the 350th year of his sacrifice, programs are being organized across the country. Shortly before, this event started through Nagar Kirtan and Kirtan recitation from Chief Minister’s residence. Similarly, Guruvani was organized for the first time at the Chief Minister’s residence on the 550th Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj.

‘Four Sahibzadas sacrifice the glorious chapter in Indian history’

CM Yogi recalled the sacrifices of Guru Govind Singh Ji Maharaj’s four Sahibzadas Baba Ajit Singh, Baba Jujhar Singh, Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh. He said that his sacrifice is a glorious chapter in Indian history.

He said that when he was lured to accept Islam, both life and princely state would be safe, but they chose the path of sacrifice instead of bowing. The younger Sahibzadas were martyred by selecting them in the wall, but they showed firm loyalty to protect their religion and nation.

The Chief Minister said that this sacrifice inspires all of us today. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 26 December is being celebrated as ‘Veer Children’s Day’ all over the country. This is a historic decision to pay tribute to the sacrifice of Sikh Gurus and Sahibzadas.

Extension of facilities in gurudwaras

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that this gurdwara of Padleganj has been the faith center of Sikh Sangat for years. Earlier there was a lack of facilities here, but now with the help of the tourism department and the government it has been given a modern form.

Now Guruvani recitation, langar and other religious programs and better facilities for devotees will be able to be done here. He said that the gurudwara is not limited to any caste or community only. Every person who comes here is welcome. This is the Sikh tradition and the real message of Guruvani.

CM Yogi expressed gratitude to Sikh tradition

CM Yogi said that the work has been done to give better forms to three major Gurdwaras of Gorakhpur, Jatashankar, Mohdipur and Padleganj. This is a symbol of our gratitude and reverence towards the Sikh Guru tradition. CM Yogi said that today is also a holy day for us because on the same day 421 years ago, Guru Granth Sahib Ji was installed in Harmandir Sahib and accepted as Guru.

CM Yogi appreciated the contribution of Sikh community in Gorakhpur

Underlining the role of the Sikh community in Gorakhpur, the CM said that the event is an opportunity to unite the Sikh community of eastern Uttar Pradesh. Referring to his regular Guruparva events in Lucknow, he said that it is a special good fortune for him to participate in such an event in Gorakhpur.
