Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan addressed the students at the 12th convocation of the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) held in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. He said that India has been a country with advanced technology since ancient times. Chauhan claimed that even before the Right Brothers, India had Pushpak aircraft. At the same time, he spoke of technology like drone and missiles to be present during the Mahabharata period.

Shivraj said, “India is not today’s nation. This is an ancient nation, when there was no civilization in the nations of the world, then Vedas were created here. When the world was covered with darkness of ignorance, India gave light of knowledge. Our science and technology were very developed, then there was a Pushpak aircraft when the right brothers did not know. Weapons like Agni, Varunastra, Brahmastra were used in the Mahabharata, all these weapons used to come back by hitting their targets. Today, missiles, drones are being used, we have already done this. ”

Appeal to youth to stop brain drain

The Union Minister made an emotional appeal and said that the youth of India should not work abroad. He said, “Not Americans who make America America, but are Indians.” Shivraj told that a large number of Indians are working in technology hubs like Silicon Valley. He urged the students to use their talent and skills in the progress and development of India.

He said that to make India self -reliant and strong, the youth will have to impose their energy in India, not abroad. The Union Agriculture Minister, who arrived at the 12th convocation of IISER in Bhopal, gave a bachelor’s degree to 423 students.
