Simple Energy IPO: Bangalore -based company simple energy, which makes electric vehicle, is now preparing to step into the stock market. The company’s plan is to launch its initial public issue (IPO) in the second or third quarter of FY 27. Through this, the company wants to raise Rs 3,000 crore (about $ 350 million).

The company will use the amount raised from the IPO to increase its manufacturing capacity and strengthen its hold in the EV sector across the country so that it can increase the share of EV in all new vehicles to 30 percent by 2030. This is in line with the widespread objective of the Government of India.

According to media reports, Suhas Rajkumar, founder and CEO of Simple Energy, has said, “Clean energy is very important for India’s Sustainable Future and simple energy is inspired by this transformation of the country. 95 percent of our electric vehicle components are made in India only. We are committed to Make-in-India initiative. IPO is a big step because we are expanding our operations and bringing electric mobility to every corner of the country – not only in metros, but also in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. ”

Company growing rapidly in EV segment

The company’s growth has been tremendous in the initial phase. Revenue has been gained up to about 500 percent annually. The company has set a target of Rs 800 crore ($ 96 million) for FY 2026. The company is expected to generate more than Rs 1,500 crore ($ 180 million) in the next 18 months.

The company is rapidly increasing its presence in states like Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Kerala. The goal of the startup is to increase its dealership network from 15 to 250 outlets in 23 separate states and complete the sale of 1 lakh electric vehicles. With this, its market share in India’s electric two-wheeler segment will increase from 0.3 percent to 5 percent according to its target.

Simple Ones Electric Scooter Launched, Around 181 km range, Ola Electric

Electric two-wheeler maker Simple Energy has launched Simple Ones Electric Scooters. The price of Simple Ones is Rs 1,39,999 (ex-showroom). The company claims that it is the highest range electric scooter in this price segment. Its range has been claimed to be around 181 km.

Simple Ones has a 3.7 kwh fixed battery and 8.5 kW motor. Its top speed is 105 km/h. This electric scooter has four riding mode – Eco, Ride, Dash and Sonic. It can reach a speed of 0 to 40 kmph in 2.55 seconds in Sonic mode. Simple ones It has a 7 -inch touchscreen dashboard, from which rider can take incing calls and access Wifi. It also has Bluetooth connectivity. Its dashboard will also get customizable themes, app integration and over-the-air updates.

The company introduced the GEN 1.5 version of Simple One in February. Its IDC range is about 248 km. Simple One has a 5KWH battery. Its weight is 134 kg. It has been made available in blue, black, red and white colors. Apart from this, there are designs such as dual tone colors such as white and black with red alloy wheels.

Simple One Electric Scooter has a 5 kwh lithium ion battery. Its battery is in two packs, with one fixed and one is removable. The company claims that this electric scooter can give a range of 212 km km in single charge. Its battery gives power to a permanent magnet motor that generates 8.5kw peak power and 72Nm torque. It can hold a speed of 0 to 40 km in 2.77 seconds. Its top speed is 105 kilometers per hour. It can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in about six hours. The use of fast charger will reduce the duration of charging. Simple Energy plans to increase its network to 150 new stores and 200 service centers in 23 states. The company’s CEO, Suhas Rajkumar said, “We believe that innovation is a journey. We are happy to provide the best range in this price segment with the launch of Simple Ones. With more features and better affordability, we are taking premium EV technology to more riders.”
