According to the report of Pakistani newspaper Dawn, Bilawal Bhutto’s Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) wants to raise the issue of Indus Water Agreement among the people. Regarding this, PPP had taken out a rally in Sindh, in which party workers demonstrated in many cities from Karachi to Shikarpur. During this, the protesters also raised slogans that they will die but will not give up their claim on Indus at all.

‘There will be no other option except war’

According to the report, Sindh government minister Saeed Ghani termed the Indus Accord as a national issue and said that it does not affect any one province but the entire Pakistan. He called it the lifeline of the country. Referring to Bilawal Bhutto’s speech in Sukkur, he said, ‘Our leader has warned that we will not remain silent if Indus water is stopped.’ While giving a jackal bark, he also said that ‘If Pakistanis do not get water and food, then there will be no other option left except war.’
