Passport Ranking 2026: Your passport decides how many countries in the world you can easily visit. In the year 2026, there is a difference of about 170 countries between the strongest and weakest passports. These figures have been prepared on the basis of Henley Passport Index, in which it is seen how many places the citizens of a country can visit without a visa.

Singapore leads, visa-free entry in 192 countries

Singapore ranks first in this list, where its citizens can travel to 192 countries without a visa. This figure is almost five times higher than that of the countries with the weakest passports. At the same time, citizens of countries with the weakest passports can go to less than 50 countries without a visa. This difference shows how much geography, diplomacy and political stability impact global travel.

Asia and Europe’s passports are the strongest

After Singapore, Japan, South Korea and United Arab Emirates are in second place, whose citizens can visit 187 countries without visa. The United Arab Emirates has the strongest passport outside East Asia, but one drawback is that its citizens do not get visa-free entry into the United States, whereas Singapore, Japan and South Korea do. After this, the countries of Europe are ahead in this list, especially Norway and Switzerland, whose citizens can visit 185 countries without visa.

Also read: Big decision of Air India, 100 flights will be cut daily, inflation stopped flights

The 27 countries of the European Union have a common passport system, but each country has different visa-free access. Citizens of Bulgaria and Romania can visit 177 countries, while citizens of Sweden can visit 186 countries. On average, the strength of the European Union is 183 countries, which is equal to Malaysia and the United Kingdom. This is slightly ahead of Canada (182) and the United States (179).

Weakest passport: entry into less than 50 countries

At the bottom of the ranking the strength of the passport diminishes significantly. Citizens of countries with the weakest passports can travel to less than 50 countries. These countries often experience political instability, high levels of migration or recent conflict, leading to stricter visa regulations. African countries like Nigeria (44), Somalia (32) and Democratic Republic of Congo (43) are at the bottom of the list. The rapidly growing population and large expatriate communities of these countries have also become the reason for visa restrictions.

Also read: Petrol-Diesel Price: Alarm bells have rung! Petrol and diesel prices may increase in the next 5-7 days, the increase will be this much

Pakistan’s passport is counted among the weakest passports in the world. It is ranked 98th and shares this rank with Yemen. If you understand in simple language, people holding Pakistani passport can travel only to about 31 to 35 countries without visa or with visa on arrival, that is, it is quite limited for them to go to other countries.

Power of passport shows global inequality

Passport ranking not only reflects the convenience of travel but also global inequality. Which country you are born in decides which parts of the world you can visit. Passports from Africa, the Middle East and South Asia are generally weaker than those from Europe and the West. Although there are some exceptions like Malaysia and United Arab Emirates, they also do not get visa-free entry in big countries like America.
