The company says that this will be its smallest and most economical electric car till date. The special thing is that once fully charged this car can run for about 440 kilometers. It is considered good enough for daily use in the city as well as for long journeys.

Design and features of Skoda Epiq

Skoda Epiq has been designed on the company’s new Modern Solid design language. Its look looks quite futuristic and premium. A black finished grill is provided at the front of the car, on which Skoda branding is visible. Along with this, slim LED DRLs and L-shaped headlights are provided at the bottom, which make it quite attractive. The design of the bumper has also been kept strong and sporty. Large aero design alloy wheels, black cladding, roof rails and light coupe style roofline are seen in the side profile. At the rear, T-shaped LED taillights and a large roof spoiler give it a more modern look.

Talking about size, this SUV is certainly compact, but is said to be quite spacious from inside. Its length is approximately 4.17 meters, due to which it can be easily used in city traffic and parking. Despite this, the company has given it a big cabin and good boot space. It will have a boot space of about 475 litres, while a small 25 liter front trunk is also provided at the front, where small items can be kept.

Interior and range of the car

The interior of the car has also been kept quite high-tech and premium. A large 13-inch touchscreen is provided on the dashboard, which works on Android based infotainment system. Apart from this, small digital driver display, new two-spoke steering wheel and ambient lighting give it a luxury feel. The company has also kept some necessary physical buttons so that it is easy to use while driving.

Talking about the features, it has many premium features like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, 10-speaker Canton sound system and 360 degree camera. Apart from this, it has also been provided with safety features like ADAS i.e. Advanced Driver Assistance System and 7 airbags, due to which this SUV looks very strong in terms of safety.

Skoda Epiq is built on the new MEB+ platform of Volkswagen Group. This is the same platform on which many new electric vehicles will be manufactured. The company is offering two battery options, which include 38.5kWh and 55kWh. The model with small battery will give a range of about 310 kilometers, while the model with big battery will be able to run for about 440 kilometers.
