Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a tour of France and Slovakia from June 13-18. PM Modi will attend the G7 summit held in France. US President Trump will also reach Evian to attend this conference. It is believed that PM Modi and Trump may meet for the first time after February 2025. The G-7 conference is being organized in the beautiful city of Evian in France. Many global issues will be discussed in the G-7 and the Strait of Hormuz can be a big issue of discussion.

PM Modi will start this journey from Nice city of France on 13th June. On June 14, PM Modi will hold bilateral talks with French President Emmanuel Macron in Nice. Modi and Macron will review all aspects of India-France bilateral relations. In the same year, relations between India and France were transformed into a special global strategic partnership.

Both the leaders will also jointly inaugurate the ‘Bharat Innovates’ program in Nice. Leading startups and venture capital funds from India, France and other countries will participate in this program. This major event organized during the India-France Year of Innovation will further strengthen the strong partnership between the two countries.

In the second phase of the visit, Prime Minister Modi will pay a state visit to Slovakia from 14-16 June 2026 at the invitation of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico. This will be the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister since the country gained independence in 1993. This visit is coming after the visit of President Draupadi Murmu to Slovakia in April 2025 and the visit of Slovak President Peter Pellegrini to India for the AI ​​Impact Summit in February 2026.

Prime Minister Modi will hold talks with Prime Minister FICO and discuss possibilities of new areas of cooperation. He will also meet President Pellegrini. The visit will reinforce India’s commitment to further strengthen India-Slovakia relations in various sectors including trade, investment, automobile and railway manufacturing.

Participation in G-7 summit
In the third phase of the visit, the Prime Minister will participate in the G-7 summit to be held in Evian, France on 16-17 June 2026. During the summit, the Prime Minister will hold discussions with the leaders of G-7 countries, invited partner countries and representatives of international organizations.

On the final leg of the visit, the Prime Minister will visit Paris for further bilateral meetings on 18 June 2026, where he will participate in the VivaTech Summit, Europe’s largest technology and startup event. Prime Minister Modi is also likely to address members of the Indian community in Paris.

This visit of the Prime Minister to Europe will further deepen India’s partnership with France, Slovakia and G-7 countries. Prime Minister Modi’s participation in the G-7 reflects India’s growing role as a leading voice of the Global South and an important partner in addressing global challenges.

Prime Minister’s participation in Bharat Innovates and VivaTech Summit will showcase India as a global hub of innovation, digital transformation and entrepreneurship. Apart from this, it will be helpful in promoting new partnerships between Indian, French and European technology ecosystems.
