Every year 15 October is celebrated as World Student Day in India. This day is dedicated to the birth anniversary of Dr. Kalam. On this day his efforts for education and youth empowerment are remembered. Although the United Nations does not officially recognize this day, yet this day is celebrated in India to honor the simplicity and inspiration of Dr. Kalam.
