According to the report, after facing problems in supply, the company is now importing large aluminum cans from South-East Asia. But, the company has not yet given any information about this change.

The main reason for the shortage of aluminum cans is the impact on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. This sea route is very important for the supply of aluminum cans and its related raw materials to India. After the problems related to Iran, there is difficulty in getting goods through this route. Due to which the supply was affected and the costs of the companies increased.

In India, Diet Coke is mostly sold in aluminum cans. Earlier, its 300 ml can was available for Rs 40, but after facing problems in supply, the company has started offering 330 ml can for Rs 50. If seen per milliliter, its price has increased by about 13.6%. But Coca-Cola has not said anything about this changing.

Some Indian bottlers of Coca-Cola have also started offering Diet Coke in 200 ml glass bottles for a short time. But its price is also said to be higher than the previous can.

In India, Diet Coke is mostly sold in aluminum cans, hence the shortage of cans has affected it the most. Whereas, Coke Zero is available in both plastic bottles and cans. Apart from this, most of the other drinks of Coca-Cola and Pepsi are also sold in plastic and glass bottles, hence they are less affected by this problem.
