Oracle Layoffs: Tech company Oracle recently showed thousands of its employees the way out. When the employees opened their emails on the morning of March 31, they came to know that their service was being terminated. According to media reports, the company has laid off 30,000 employees worldwide, of which about 12,000 were working in India. There are 1.62 lakh employees working in this company of Larry Ellison, considered close to Donald Trump, out of which about 18 percent have been thrown out in one stroke. AI is considered to be a major reason behind this.

What Does the Company Say Behind Oracle Layoffs?

In Oracle Layoffs, the jobs of senior engineers, architects, operation leaders, program managers and technical specialists working in India, America, Canada and many other countries have been lost. The company said in its statement that keeping in mind the business needs, the services of some employees have been terminated. Employees have received this email from ‘Oracle Leadership’.

How big a role does AI play in layoffs?

This layoff in Oracle is also being linked to AI. Actually, for some time now the company has increased its investment on AI. This company making business software is now spending money on the datacenter required to develop and operate AI systems. Through this, Oracle wants to compete with Alphabet and Amazon etc. in the cloud sector. The company has also signed a datacenter deal with OpenAI worth $300 billion. However, investors have expressed concern about the increasing debt and other expenses of the company.

Why are the jobs of tech experts at risk?

With the advent of AI, the threat to the jobs of many tech employees has increased. Especially the jobs of software engineers are under threat from AI. Heads of many big tech companies have said that AI can do all the work done by software engineers. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei had said a few weeks ago that soon AI will handle the entire coding process from start to end. AI models are improving so fast that they can do all the work that a software engineer does. Similarly, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has also said that in the coming time, AI agents will replace software engineers. These agents will be able to do all the work that experienced software engineers do.

The body of 21-year-old YouTuber Bonu Komali was found in a rented house on Monday (23 February) in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana. Shortly before his death, he had sent the message of I love you so much to his mother. Komali, a resident of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, was living alone in an apartment for about 11 months while studying B.Sc. from a private college in Hyderabad. She used to make lifestyle videos on YouTube.

According to police, Komali sent a message to her mother B Satya Varalakshmi, who works in Kuwait, in the early hours of Monday, in which she wrote, “Mummy, I love you very much” and asked her to take care of her younger brother. Later his phone was found switched off. When there was no response despite repeated calls, his mother informed a friend, who went to his flat in the afternoon.

Dead body found hanging from ceiling fan

Police officer C. Venkanna said that at around 3 pm, when there was no response despite repeated knocks on the door, we broke the latch and found him hanging from the ceiling fan. A ladder and a saree were found near the spot. “Preliminary investigation shows that she was mentally disturbed due to a long-standing relationship dispute,” he said.

Had attempted suicide before too
According to the police, Komali was in a relationship with a 27-year-old software engineer and fellow YouTuber for three years but according to reports, the two had separated. Police said that Komali had attempted suicide about six months ago. Police have registered a case of suspicious death and collected digital and physical evidence to understand the complete circumstances and the body has been sent to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem. Police are investigating phone records, messages and statements of friends and neighbors to know all the aspects related to suicide.

In the case of death of a software engineer by drowning in a deep pit dug for the construction of basement near Noida Sector-150, the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s court on Tuesday extended the judicial custody of accused Ravi Bansal and Sachin Karanwal, associated with Lotus Green Builder, till January 29. Whereas the judicial custody of Abhay Kumar, director of MZ Wisetown Builder Company, was extended till February 2.

Assistant government advocate Sanjeev Tripathi said that the hearing started at around 3 pm. Advocates appearing for Lotus Green argued that the two arrested accused are not directors or decision-making officers of the company, but are salaried employees. He said that the arrest was made under administrative and police pressure without a thorough investigation and the guidelines of the Supreme Court were not followed.

The defense told the court that a detailed report of about 500 pages has been submitted by the company, which includes technical details related to the incident site, GPS enabled satellite images and old records.

Waterlogging situation continues since 2021

According to the advocates, there was a situation of waterlogging after the drain was damaged in the year 2021, information about which was given to the Noida Authority and funds were also approved for the repair, but the work was not done. In such a situation, it is unfair to put the responsibility only on lower level employees.

During the arguments, the defense argued that the police did not clearly assess the role of the accused nor did they tell on what basis they were sent to jail. Big builders and people holding top positions are still out of arrest, while lower level employees have been made accused. On this basis, regular bail was demanded.

Investigating officer could not read 500 page report, court reprimanded

During the hearing, the court asked the investigating officer about the study of the 500-page report. The court appeared dissatisfied when the investigating officer said that since the report was very large, he could not get time to read it completely and a few more days were needed.

The CJM said that even in the last hearing, the investigating officer was instructed to come fully prepared, yet the report was not studied. Calling it serious negligence, the court reprimanded the investigator.

After the death of software engineer Yuvraj Mehta in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, a condolence meeting was organized at Eureka Park Society on Saturday. In which Yuvraj’s father Rajkumar Mehta held the administrative officials responsible for this, and also thanked the young man Munendra who saved Yuvraj. People of the society were present in the condolence meeting of Yuvraj Mehta and everyone paid tribute by laying flowers. MP Dr Mahesh Sharma and Dadri Assembly MLA Tejpal Nagar also attended the condolence meeting, but everyone was seen keeping distance from the media.

In the condolence meeting, the Prince’s father thanked all those who supported him and demanded that the administrative negligence be fixed. According to Rajkumar Mehta, the rescue team did not take any initiative, otherwise my son had shown courage and struggled for two hours.

Thanked the media for raising their voice

During the condolence meeting, Yuvraj Mehta’s father Rajkumar Mehta, while talking to the media, said, “Now I thank all the media friends from the bottom of my heart that you raised your voice and supported me in the tragic and untimely demise of my son Yuvraj due to administrative negligence. And gave the right direction on this matter so that action can be taken against the irresponsible officials and appropriate punishment can be given.”
Rajkumar Mehta further said, “I was completely in mourning at the time of my son’s death and was dejected. But all of you gave me full support and effectively conveyed the negligence of my son’s death to the people and government of the country. Thank you for that.”

Remembered son’s courage

Rajkumar Mehta talked about the courage of his son Yuvraj during the incident. He said – “My son was very courageous, even after falling into a waterlogged pit, he struggled a lot. He gave enough time and opportunity of 2 hours to save himself and also to all of us, but the rescue team showed great carelessness and left my son to God. Whereas Yuvraj could have been easily saved. We can never give justice to Yuvraj because he will never come back. But we definitely want that in this sequence, we will take action against the officials of negligent departments. “Strictest action should be taken, and it should be ensured that no other crown prince goes through such a tragedy in the future.”

Thanks to Munendra and UP government

For Munendra, the delivery boy who entered the pit to save his son, said, “I also thank brother Munendra that without caring about anyone, he jumped into the drain and made every effort to find and save my son. Thanks also to the UP Government, who took cognizance and formed the SIT, I want that no culprit should be spared under any circumstances. The administration showed complete negligence and took action against the negligent officers concerned.” Go.”

Russia: Our common belief is that after education a person becomes a doctor, engineer, works in big companies of the country or abroad and lives a luxurious life. However, the person we are going to tell you about today is undoubtedly a software developer by profession, but his work is a little different. Here we are talking about 26 year old Mukesh Mandal, who is working as a sanitation worker in Russia. He is not the only Indian doing this work here, but there are other people in the list.

Get a big salary in return for your work

Mukesh recently spoke to Russian media outlet Fontanka about working as a street sweeper in St. Petersburg. He said that he, along with other Indian laborers, has been cleaning roads under Kolomyazhskoye, a road maintenance company, for the past several weeks.

Mukesh said that earlier the company (Kolomyazhskoye) made arrangements to bring 17 laborers here from India, of which he was one.
