So every year, without fail, I would get Rs 50 from him in October. And that small amount seemed like a lesson in savings, and how a small, consistent habit can add up over time and become important.”

She added, “And this exercise taught me the importance of saving, the importance of planning for the future, and I think I have been able to take that mindset with me, whether it’s using my credit card as a debit card. Or paying my bills on time, or how I want to stay on top of my finances, keeping track of my finances, financial discipline has become a part of my identity today.”
