The South African team is going to tour India to play Test, ODI and T20 series. South Africa has announced a 15-member team for the Test series under the captaincy of Temba Bavuma.

South Africa tour to India

South Africa’s tour of India will start from 14th November. First, a 2-match test series will be played between India and South Africa. After this there will be a 3-match ODI series. After the Test and ODI series, a 5-match T20 series will also be played.

The Indian cricket team is in Australia, where after the 3 ODI series, a 5 match T20 series will be played. After this tour, the Indian team will play a series of all three formats with South Africa at home. It will start from November 14, the first test will be played at Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata. Bengal Cricket Association has started preparations for this match. Association President Sourav Ganguly has given a big Diwali gift to the cricket fans before the match.

A Test match is to be played at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata after 6 years, where in 2019 the Pink Ball Test was played between India and Bangladesh. Now the first Test between India vs South Africa will be played here at Eden Gardens from 14th November. Tickets for this match can be booked on Zomato app. The ticket price for a 5-day match is Rs 300, which means it costs only Rs 60 for a one-day game. Along with this, there is also a ticket of Rs 250 for one day.

After the retirement of Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill is captaining Test and ODI. Under his captaincy, India played its first Test series in England, which ended in a draw at 2-2. After this, India defeated West Indies 2-0 in the Test series played at home. Now under the captaincy of Gill, India is playing its first ODI series against Australia, where India has lost the first match.

Ganguly took over as the President of Cricket Association of Bengal for the second time on September 22, 2025. Earlier, he had held this post from 2015 to 2019, after leaving which he became the 35th President of BCCI.

After the first Test from 14 to 18 November, the second Test between India and South Africa will be played at the Assam Cricket Association from 22 to 26 November. The 3-match ODI series will start from 30th November and the 5-match T20 series will start from 9th December.

Temba Bavuma returns to test

These unofficial test matches will be played between the teams of India and South Africa, but still Temba Bavuma will command the South African team. The reason behind this is that South African captain Temba Bavuma is returning to the Test team after about 4.5 months. Bavuma played his last Test match between June 11-14, 2025. Now he is going to be seen in the second match against India A in the Test series starting from October 30. Marques Ackerman will command the team in the first test match.

Schedule of India-South Africa matches

The first 4-day Test between India A and South Africa A will be played from October 30. The second unofficial test will be held between 6th and 9th November. Both these matches will be played at the BCCI Center of Excellence. After this, the ODI series will start between the players of both the countries, in which three ODIs will be played between 13 and 19 November. All these three matches between the A teams of India and South Africa will be held in Rajkot.

Team India returned to play the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia in early 2025 this year, in which a five-match Test series was played. Now between October 19 and November 8, 3 ODIs and 5 T20s will be played between India and Australia. India has to visit Australia for this ODI and T20 series.

Series with South Africa

With the end of the tour of Australia, Team India has to return to the country and play Test, ODI and T20 series with South Africa. The South Africa team is going to visit India for about one and a half months. On this tour, South Africa is coming to play 2 Tests, 3 ODIs and 5 T20 matches with India. The first match of this tour will be played on 14 November and the last match will be played on 19 December. After the break in August, Team India has to play many matches from September to December.
