India’s telecom sector has made rapid progress over the years. The scope of the country’s 5G network has increased rapidly. The Central Government launched the Telecom Technology Development Fund (TTDF) scheme (TTDF) scheme (TTDF) scheme about three years ago to increase collaboration between research and development (R&D) in 5G and 6G technology.

Minister of State of Communications, Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar said in a written reply in the Lok Sabha that under the TTDF scheme, 5G and 6G technology have been given R&D and Rs 304 crore funds for innovation. Projects associated with R&D approved under this scheme are from one to five years. These projects are in the initial stage of development. In the TTDF scheme, financial assistance is being provided to government and private institutions as well as various projects related to MSME and Startups.

Along with this, Chandrashekhar said that the Telecom Department (DOT) has developed the financial fraud -based financial fraud risk indicator (FRI) of the risk -based risk indicator (FRI). This can take measures to protect customers if banks, non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) and Unified Payment Interface (UPI) service providers such as a mobile number are connected to higher risk. Fri has been made available to stakeholders through Digital Intelligence Platform (DIP).

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued advisory to banks and payment service operators (PSOs) for the integration of FRI with their systems. 34 banks, financial institutions and UPI service providers have freeze 10.02 lakh bank accounts, payments wallets based on the action technology reports (ATR) submitted on DIP. Apart from this, restrictions have been imposed on debit and credit on 3.05 lakh bank accounts and payment wallets. Bharti Airtel, one of the big telecom companies, recently reported that it has blocked 1.80 lakh forged links after launching the advanced fraud-detection system. The company had said that about 3 million users have been protected from fraud by blocking these links.

Telecom Disputes Settlement and Applete Tribunal (TDSAT) has stayed on the penalty imposed on telecom companies to stop spam. This penalty was imposed by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).

A media Report According to, telecom companies, including Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio, appealed against TRAI’s order to impose penalty. However, in this case the government telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) did not appeal to TDSAT. Telecom companies said that when TRAI imposed a penalty, the Digital Consent Acquen (DCA) platform was being implemented. In this case, TDSAT has banned the penalty due to allegations from both sides. The next hearing of the case will be held on 13 February.

Telecom companies do not want to pay penalty as their cash flow is already pressure. TDSAT has said that telecom companies are not responsible for delay in implementing regulations including DCA. Apart from Airtel and Reliance Jio, this penalty was imposed on Vodafone Idea and BSNL for about Rs 141 crore. Earlier, these companies have been fined under the Telecom Commercial Communication Customer Preference Regulations (TCCCPR). TRAI requested the Telecom Department (DOT) to recover the fine.

TCCCPR was implemented in 2010. Its purpose is to secure subscribers with spam calls and messages. The new rule called TRAI’s message tradition has been implemented from December 11 last year. This rule will help reduce spam messages. From the person sending messages from the new system to its delivery can be tracked. With this, telemarketers and other parties involved in sending messages will be tracked. The new system will block the promotional and spam messages that registered by registered firms. Recently, Airtel had reported that more than 8 billion spam calls have been warned on its network. The company launched a solution related to Artificial Intelligence (AI). Six percent of the total calls on the company’s network and about two percent of all the SMS were identified as spam.

Landline telephone numbers in India may soon be 10 digital. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has suggested a change in numbering scheme. This includes rules and guidelines to allocate numbers for telecommunication services. The use of landline telephones has decreased in the last few years. However, it is an important means of contact for some services.

TRAI has said that interconnected digital scope has to meet billions of devices and users needs. The availability of numbering resources is important to provide telecommunication services to consumers, industries and businesses in a reliable manner. This will help with a 10 digit numbering system for landline or fixed-line phones. TRAI has proposed to put ‘0’ for landline-to -landline calls and then STD code and subscriber number of the area. For this change, the Telecom Department (DOT) has been given a six -month deadline.

Even after this change, there will be no change in the method of dying of calls from fixed-line from mobile, mobile from mobile and mobile to mobile. TRAI has also indicated the portability of the number of landline phones. Along with this, DOT has been asked to implement the caller ID feature immediately.

At the end of last year, TRAI made it mandatory for telecom companies to provide a separate tariff plan for voice calls and SMS by changing rules. TRAI said at the revised telecom consumers protection regulations, “Service provider would have to offer a special tariff voucher for voice calls and SMS, whose validity will not exceed 365 days.” This will benefit users who do not use data. Along with this, TRAI also allowed telecom companies to provide recharge vouchers of any value. However, these companies will have to issue a recharge coupon of at least Rs 10. Telecom regulator has also taken some measures to overcome the problem of spam calls and messages. TRAI has fined large telecom companies for failing to curb this problem. <!--

Spam calls and messages have increased rapidly over the years. Some measures have been taken by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to curb this problem. Under the new TRAI rules, telecom companies giving wrong reports of spam calls and messages will be fined.

simultaneously Trai It has made it mandatory for all telecom companies to analyze calls and SMS based on high number of calls, short duration of calls and low ratios of outgoing calls from incoming calls. This will allow spammers to be identified soon. The provision of graded penalty has been implemented by amending the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations (TCCCPR). It will put a penalty on telecom companies on the wrong report of spam calls and messages. Under the new rules, telecom companies will have to pay a penalty of Rs 2 lakh on first violation, Rs five lakh on second violation and Rs 10 lakh on each violation.

At the end of last year, TRAI imposed a fine of about Rs 12 crore on telecom companies for failing to deal with spam calls and messages. By adding the previous fine, the total amount of fine is about Rs 141 crore. TRAI has requested the Telecom Department (DOT) to recover the fine. The new rule called TRAI’s message tracity has been implemented from December 11. This rule will help reduce spam messages.

From the person sending messages from the new system to its delivery can be tracked. With this, telemarketers and other parties will be able to find out in sending messages. TRAI had said that this rule would not delay in getting important messages like One-Time Password (OTP). OTP is used for banking and other services. In the new system, such promotional and spam messages will be blocked which have not been sent by registered firms. Many firms have registered for this. Recently, Bharti Airtel had said that more than 8 billion spam calls have been warned on her network.
